A must-try Creamy Avocado Smoothie! So easy & refreshing!
Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 5 mins
Ingredients
1/2 cup cubed frozen pineapple
2 cups packed fresh spinach or 1 cup frozen spinach
1 ripe avocado
1 frozen banana
3/4 cup light coconut milk, canned or from a carton
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice, plus 1/2 teaspoon zest
1 teaspoon maple syrup
pinch of sea salt
8 ice cubes
2 scoops vanilla protein powder*, optional
Instructions
Combine the pineapple, spinach, avocado, banana, coconut milk, lime juice, maple syrup, salt, ice, and protein powder, if using, in a blender. Blend until creamy.
Taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add more maple syrup. If the consistency is too thick, add more coconut milk, and blend again.

The reality with weight loss is this.. You might be a bit hungry.
You are eating fewer calories than you are burning (if you are actually losing weight) so you will be hungry.
The good news though is that there are some tricks that you can absolutely implement to help subside the hunger, manage it, and allow you to stay in the fight longer (aka staying in the fat loss phase for a long time without destroying your metabolism)
Choosing foods that are “Higher Satiety:
Satiety is a fancy-schmancy word that means “when I eat X, I feel fuller longer”
Think ... Sugary drinks, berries, beans, etc are BAD choices for higher satiety because they are dissolved SO quick that it doesn’t actually carry much weight in your stomach
However..
Foods such as Chicken, Steak, Fish, Avocado, Rice, Nuts, Seeds, etc. are all increasing your satiety. Stick with those
Drink water with your meals.
Unless you experience GERD (heartburn) drinking water with your food fills your stomach with food and water thus making you feel fuller longer, subsiding the hormones to trigger hunger a bit longer
Eat High Fiber Foods
Fiber, specifically soluble fiber, slows down the breaking down of food, which allows for maximal absorption of nutrients.
Which… actually allows you to get the MOST out of the food and your body won’t be yearning for more food to try and fill in those gaps!
Yogurt, Bread, Bananas, Pre-Biotics, etc are all things you can use for this!
