To the woman who feels like she’s starting over…
Starting her fitness journey later in life.
Starting to believe in herself again.
Starting to take care of herself after years of putting everyone else first.
This is your reminder today on **International Women’s Day**:
You are not behind.
You are not too late.
You are simply at the beginning of a new chapter.
And sometimes the most powerful thing a woman can do is decide:
“I’m starting now.”

If you're starting running after 40, the smartest thing you can do is **go slower than you think you should.**
Slow running:
• reduces injury risk

A reminder for anyone starting their running journey:
Progress does not look like perfection.
Some runs will feel amazing.
Some runs will feel slow, awkward, and uncomfortable.
That’s completely normal.
Confidence is built by showing up even on the days that feel hard.
Small steps taken consistently always lead somewhere powerful.

For most of my life, I never thought of myself as a runner.
When I first started, I wasn’t fast. I didn’t feel confident. And honestly, I wasn’t sure I even belonged in the running world.
But something incredible started to happen when I kept showing up.
With every small step, I felt a shift.
Not just in my body… but in my **confidence**.
Running slowly taught me something powerful:
Confidence isn’t built all at once.
It’s built **one small step at a time.**
That’s why I created **Confident At Any Pace**.
My goal isn’t just to help women start running.
It’s to help women **build confidence within themselves**, to feel that shift happening with every step forward.
So I’m sharing my **8-Week Run / Walk Confidence Program completely FREE** to all new followers!

One of the safest ways to start running is something called run/walk intervals.
And no — taking walking breaks does NOT mean you’re failing.
If running feels intimidating, this is a great place to begin.
Start small. Start gentle. Build confidence first.
Try this:
5 minute warm-up walk
Then repeat 8 times:
• 30 seconds easy jog
• 90 seconds walking
Finish with:
5 minute cool-down walk
Total workout: about 25 minutes.
A few reminders:
• Run slowly — slower than you think you should
• Walking is part of the workout
• The goal is consistency, not exhaustion
Every confident runner once started exactly like this.
One small step at a time.
At any pace. 🖤

Hi everyone — I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Liz, and I’m the person behind Confident at Any Pace.
I’m 43 years old, and I didn’t start running until 2022. I didn’t start because I wanted to be fast or train for races. I started because I needed something for my mental health.
What I didn’t expect was how much running would change my life.
Running slowly, showing up consistently, and learning to believe in myself through movement has completely shifted the way I see myself and how I show up in my life.
Since starting, I’ve completed 5Ks, 10Ks, and half marathons — all at my own pace.
And that’s the message I care most about sharing:
You do not have to be fast to be a runner.
You can start later in life.
You can take walk breaks.
You can go slower than everyone else.
What matters is that you start and keep showing up for yourself.
I created Confident at Any Pace to help other women — especially women 40+ — feel supported starting their running journey without pressure or comparison.
Because confidence isn’t built through speed.
It’s built through courage, consistency, and believing you’re capable of more than you thought.
If you're here, I’m really glad you found this page. 🖤

You do NOT have to run fast to be a runner.
This is one of the biggest things that stops women from starting.
They think:
• I’m too slow
• People will judge me
• I’ll look silly
But here’s the truth…
Running isn’t about speed.
It’s about consistency.
If you are moving forward — even slowly — you are doing it right.
Every confident runner started exactly where you are.
At the beginning.
Your pace is powerful. 🖤

Let’s talk about running myths 👇
🚫 5 Lies Women Over 40 Are Told About Running
If you’ve ever thought about starting to run but stopped yourself, there’s a good chance one of these myths got in your head.
Let’s clear them up.
1️⃣ “Running is bad for your knees.”
Running done gradually and with proper strength training can actually help support joint health. The key is starting slow and building strength.
2️⃣ “You have to be fast to be a runner.”
Not true. A runner is simply someone who runs — no matter the pace.
3️⃣ “If you have to walk, it doesn’t count.”
Walk/run intervals are one of the smartest and safest ways to build endurance, especially when starting out.
4️⃣ “It’s too late to start.”
Many women begin running in their 40s, 50s, and beyond. Strength and endurance can be built at any age.
5️⃣ “You need to lose weight before you start.”
Running is about building confidence and strength, not shrinking your body first.
Here’s the truth:
You don’t need to be fast.
You don’t need to look like a runner.
You just need to start.
At any pace. 🖤
I’m curious…
Which of these myths have you believed before?

Hi and welcome to Confident at Any Pace.
This page is for all the women 40+ who have been led to believe running just wasn’t for them.
Maybe you’ve thought:
“I’m not athletic.”
“I’m too slow.”
“My body can’t do that.”
"I'm to old to start running"
But here’s the truth most people never say out loud…
Running isn’t reserved for a certain body type, pace, or age.
It’s simply a skill you build — step by step.
Confident at Any Pace exists to help women in midlife discover that they are stronger and more capable than they’ve been led to believe.
This isn’t about racing or chasing speed.
It’s about building strength, confidence, and learning to trust your body again.
Around here we believe:
• Slow miles still count
• Strength comes before speed
• Confidence grows with consistency
And most importantly…
Your pace is powerful.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would feel like to become a runner, you’re in the right place.
