🏆 WHAT A RIDE FOR THE NEW ORLEANS SPICE 11U in Pigeon Forge Ripken World Series tournament 🌶️⚾️

From entering our World Series bracket play (after tough pool play draw) as the 14th seed to coming out on top in a big upset in this World Series, these boys showed what New Orleans Spice baseball is all about! 💪🔥

After finishing pool play in the #14 spot out of 24 teams, the Spice earned their way into the top brackets and absolutely electrified the tournament. We didn't just compete—we shocked the field by knocking off the #12 ranked team and stunning the #3 ranked team in the tournament! 💥
Our incredible run came to an end in a battle during the Semifinals against the #2 team, but we couldn't be prouder of the fight, grit, and heart this team displayed all week long.

Tournament Team Stat Highlights:

• 🔥 Offensive Production: The lineup fought hard at the plate all week, compiling 40 hits—including 8 extra-base hits—to drive in 16 RBIs and score 31 total runs.

• 🏃‍♂️ Aggressive Base Running: We put constant pressure on opposing defenses by swiping 36 stolen bases on 42 attempts, maintaining an elite 85.7% stolen base success rate.

• 🛡️ Lockdown Defense: The boys flashed the leather and played clean baseball all week, recording 129 putouts and 52 assists to achieve a stellar .948 team fielding percentage across 191 total chances.

Thank you to all the coaches, parents, and fans who cheered us on through every inning. This team proved they can step on the field and compete with any team. The future is incredibly bright for the Spice! ⚜️🔴⚫️

Spice 11U has been hard at work in Pigeon Forge this week.

After going 2-3 in pool play, (with great defense and low scoring games against a challenging pool play draw) we made it into the top bracket in the #14 spot.

Game 1 in bracket play was against the #3 seed, a Majors team from Florida. Spice delivered the upset of the week, winning 4-3. Next up we took on the the # 11 seed and got the W with a 7-0 win.

Tomorrow we play another great team ( #2 seed) at 8am.

We are 2 of 4 Louisiana teams to make it to the top bracket and the only Louisiana team to make it to the Semi Finals.
