We're so honored to share that the Metuchen Fire Company's own Alex Bergeron will be participating in a 9/11 Star Climb here at the Metuchen Y.

As we commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the September 11 Attacks, Alex will be fundraising for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation by climbing 2,200 steps tomorrow in full turnout gear. To learn more about Alex's mission or pledge your support, click the link below.

Our 5th & 6th grade campers closed out camp by hosting their very own Boardwalk Carnival, complete with games they designed and created especially for our preschool campers! This special partnership was more than just fun, it was a hands-on opportunity for our older campers to practice leadership, creativity, teamwork, and responsibility while creating unforgettable memories for our little campers.

The Y is proud to support Metuchen CARES: Community Action for Recovery, Education and Support as they host a candlelight vigil next week in honor of those who lost their lives to addiction while presenting information on how we can all prevent overdoses in our community. Please join us to support those who have lost loved ones to addiction or those who are currently fighting addiction. By recognizing the disease and understanding its consequences without judgment, we can fight the isolation and devastation that go along with addiction. Families with children in middle school, high school and college are encouraged to attend.
