Dave and Rick were back with me today. Although the weather was a little cooler, than last time, the fishing was just as hot. Just as soon as the rods were being set, the bite started.
Trolling the deep water is still producing. Today color didn't seem to matter. However when you fish Oneida, chrome and black is hard to beat.
Great job guys. I'll see you again on Wednesday!

Today Adam and Dan were back in the boat with me.
It was a tough bite today for sure. They boated a lot of fish but the majority were shorts.
At the end of the day though, they managed a nice bag of eyes and half dozen nice perch. Include in their bag was a nice 25 inch Eye.

Had an unbelievable day on the water today. The fishing was not the best but the company made up for it!
A couple of old work buddies, Sam and John and their friend, Sam were with me.
At the end of the day we caught up on a lot of old memories and put a nice box together as a bonus.
Great to see you guys again.
Looking forward to the next time, hopefully a little sooner than last.

A quick scouting trip with a couple of buds this morning. Allen and Steve braved the cold morning and were rewarded with a nice box.

It was a chilly start this morning for James and his son Ryan. The bite was good but too many shorts. They stuck with it and ended up with a nice box.
I found out that my lithium battery is not what I was looking for. Had a full charge and just using it to steer the boat, it died after 4.5 hours. Now the trolling motor won't stow!
Thanks for your patience guys while I messed with it.

This morning I had a last minute trip with Shelda and James. Leaving the launch at 7am, we headed out to the deep water. The bite has been so good lately that we just expected the same.
Let's just say we were not let down. Consistent action for four hours. A lot of shorts but enough keepers to fill the box.

And the awsome fall bite continues!
Today Dennis was back with me. After a good day on the water in September, I had told Dennis it gets even better in October. Today he found out I wasn't kidding.

A strong east wind didn't stop Alena and Pavel from enjoying the fall bite on Oneida.
We set up our spread and immediately started catching fish. Then as fast as it started, the bite died. We were catching shorts but the keepers just disappeared.
So we moved farther east and immediately caught a keeper. Then nothing but shorts again.
So we ended up going back to where we started the day and presto, it was on again.
Nice job and thanks for being patient.

Oneida lake in the fall has some of the best walleye fishing in the state. Today Dr. Ron, Brian and Noah got to see first hand how good it is.
