grateful for so much soul food after a long winter.

𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧: 𝘿𝙀𝙄 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩.

It should be the STANDARD in the coaching and healing industry.

What we’ve watched this past year— the systematic dismantling of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at the highest levels of government and corporations alike— is not progress. It’s harm. Real, measurable, mean-spirited and bigoted harm for real people.

You cannot erase centuries of marginalization by pretending it doesn’t exist or having to slap a different name on it. Erasing the language doesn’t erase the lived experience. It just makes it harder for people to be who they are without fear... and that’s exactly the point.

Right now today, there are entire populations being dehumanized, belittled, and made to feel like they must hide who they are. That is not a side effect. That is the goal. And I will not be quiet about it.

Those are the same people walking into coaching and healing spaces looking for support. We cannot serve them if we won’t even acknowledge what is happening and name DEI as a pathway to repair.

DEI in coaching and healing spaces means being intentional about creates spaces where every single human feels as safe as possible to be who they are and be VALUED for it.

That is not political.
It is the entire freaking job.
It’s what the industry SHOULD be predicated on.

I refuse to be silent about this, to call it another name, or to take my DEI statement off my website, as some have advised me to do.

In every space I hold, my commitment doesn’t waver— not based on who’s in office, not based on what’s politically convenient.

If your leaders and healers aren’t speaking up about this, ask them about their stance on it.

I will continue to shout this loudly and with my whole soul as long as I live.

in 2025 I learned that growth sometimes looks like contraction rather than expansion.

because when everything crumbles, you discover the fabric of your life.

this year didn’t come close to looking like I wished and hoped,

but I am proud of how I showed up for it.

not because everything worked,
but because I was radically honest,
I stayed agile and willing to pivot,
I asked for what I needed and learned to receive,
and I stopped abandoning parts of me just to maintain the path I thought I was on.

40 years old brought a shift in me that I never imagined.
.. and it is still unfolding.

here are some of the lessons I will carry with me from this year…

𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐬? ✨☁️🚪

Because I’m gonna be honest with you, this year broke me open in ways I never saw coming.

Even with all my tools, all my practices, all my healing work… I still feel like I’m dragging this heavy energy around with me everywhere I go.

And I keep thinking: if I’m feeling this way with all the tools and resources (and privileged identities) to support me, how must others be feeling?

So I put together something that I am looking for myself:

✨ 𝘿𝙤𝙤𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 2026 ✨
𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 & “𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙩” 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙉𝙚𝙭𝙩

Now look, I’m totally grossed out by all the “new year, new you” marketing. That’s not what this is.❌

This is about honoring the fact that this year was HARD.
Not bypassing it.
Not pretending it didn’t happen.

But clearing all the heavy energy, and negative thought patterns and beliefs so that we can be in our power again.

Have hope again.
Start to clear a path forward again. 

Because I refuse to drag this energy around anymore. And I don’t think you want to either.

I’ve been sitting with this quietly for a few days because… honestly, it feels 𝙗𝙞𝙜.

I was nominated for the Sacred Leadership Award by , the place where I earned my life coaching certification. 

It’s an award you cannot nominate yourself for. It is hand-selected by founder for coaches who uphold the values and ethics of our industry.

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙛𝙪𝙡.

The coaching + healing space has changed a lot in the past few years.

❤️‍🔥I’ve felt the dilution of values, the AI-optimized messaging, the click-bait, and the imagery and taglines that oversimplify what it means to grow and heal and leave out valuable context and nuance. 

❤️‍🔥I’ve watched marginalized voices go unacknowledged, unprotected, and unseen by leaders with large platforms.

❤️‍🔥I’ve watched the appropriation of sacred plants, ceremonies, and traditions by white practitioners with little — or sometimes no — recognition of their origins, meaning, or cultural significance.  

Honestly, 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥. And it can be painful to be associated with practices and people that feel SO out of alignment with what I represent.

So to be recognized for the very thing I’ve fought so hard to uplift and hold onto… 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴.

The other nominees are true activists and leaders — people I deeply respect — and I’m honored to be in their company. They are truly the wayshowers of what this industry is meant to represent.⭐️
