If there was one player who consistently showed up for Miami in 2025, it was Jordyn Brooks.

The veteran linebacker turned in a dominant season and emerged as one of the NFL's most productive defenders despite the team's struggles.

His production included:

🩵 183 total tackles (1st in NFL)
🧡 99 solo tackles (1st in NFL)
🩵 13 tackles for loss
🧡 3.5 sacks
🩵 3 passes defended
🧡 1 forced fumble (1 fumble recovery)
🩵 4 QB hits

Brooks started all 17 games and made his presence felt every week, finishing at the top of the league in both total and solo tackles.

His first career First-Team All-Pro selection was well deserved and reinforced just how valuable he has become to Miami's defense.

2026 could finally be the year De’Von Achane earns First-Team All-Pro recognition ⭐️

At this point, it’s becoming harder and harder to argue against him being one of the very best running backs in football.

Miami’s offense no longer has overwhelming star power across the skill positions, which likely means Achane’s workload could increase dramatically both as a runner and receiver.

Add in the Dolphins selecting offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor in the first round, and the infrastructure around him may actually improve despite the roster changes elsewhere.

But what makes the All-Pro conversation especially interesting is the timing.

Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley and Christian McCaffrey are all coming off seasons that felt somewhat below their usual standards as runners.

That potentially opens the door for a younger star like Achane to fully take over the top tier of the position ✅

De’Von Achane is done hearing rebuild talk.

With a new GM, new head coach, and a changing roster, many see Miami as a team starting over.

Achane does not.

He wants the division. He wants a playoff win. And he wants it now.

Rasul Douglas quietly put together a productive season in Miami's secondary in 2025.

The veteran cornerback led the Dolphins in passes defended and continued to provide experience and stability for a defense that went through plenty of ups and downs throughout the year.

His production showed he can still contribute:

🩵 2 interceptions
🧡 13 passes defended (led team)
🩵 62 total tackles
🧡 1 forced fumble
🩵 1 sack

Douglas appeared in 15 games and started 13 of them during his ninth NFL season, remaining one of the most reliable veterans in Miami's defensive backfield.

The Dolphins finished 7-10 and missed the playoffs, leading to another offseason of change across the organization and the arrival of new head coach Jeff Hafley.

As Miami begins a new chapter, one surprising storyline remains unresolved: Douglas is still a free agent despite coming off one of the most productive seasons among the team's defensive backs.

For a player with proven experience and recent production, it's fair to wonder how much longer he'll remain available.

Management completely dismantled the previous high-flying track team in South Florida.

The front office systematically traded away expensive legacy pillars to spark a total roster reset.

This radical reconstruction thoroughly alters the Miami Dolphins offensive continuity.

It establishes a physical, dual-threat system built to control the clock and keep defenses guessing. 🐬

An entirely new wave of young weapons is locked in to execute the ground-up makeover.

The franchise officially turns the page to hunt for AFC East dominance with a brand-new identity. 🌊

Jordyn Brooks is becoming one of the most intriguing potential trade candidates in the NFL 🔄

The Miami Dolphins linebacker is currently involved in a contract dispute with the organization, and with Miami entering a retooling phase, it would not be surprising at all if the situation eventually ends with Brooks being moved elsewhere.

Since arriving in Miami, Brooks has consistently been one of the defense’s most impactful playmakers. But the bigger picture may now outweigh the on-field production.

Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has openly emphasized the importance of avoiding long-term financial overcommitments during this transitional stage of the franchise. Miami already invested heavily in younger core pieces, including extending De’Von Achane and selecting linebacker Jacob Rodriguez in the second round of the draft.

That’s where Brooks’ timeline becomes complicated.

He’s set to hit free agency in 2027, and by the time Miami expects to fully re-enter contention, the organization may prefer building around younger and more cost-controlled players instead ✅
