We have to use words for what they mean.
We should not keep saying random things and using words to support our stories.
Metabolism remains relatively stable between ages 20 and 60, contrary to popular belief, with significant declines starting only after age 60, slowing by about \(0.7\%\) annually. While muscle loss (sarcopenia) and reduced activity contribute, cellular activity actually slows down with age. Adults over 60 have, on average, a 20% lower metabolism than younger adults.
