11TH SH*TORYU KARATEDO INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 🇯🇵

🇺🇸 USA Sh*tokai in Yokohama, Japan! 🇯🇵

As we reflect on our time at the 11th Sh*toryu Karatedo International Championships in Yokohama, we are grateful to everyone who made this journey possible.

Representing the United States alongside Sh*toryu practitioners from around the world was a true honor. Competing in Japan, the homeland of Karatedo, made this experience especially meaningful for our athletes, coaches, and families. 🥋🇯🇵

More than 90 members of our USA Sh*tokai family traveled to Yokohama, coming together not only for competition, but also to experience Japanese culture, traditions, and hospitality.

We are proud of our 22 athletes, who stepped onto the international stage with courage, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. They represented USA Sh*tokai and the United States with pride, and we are excited to return home with 9 medals! 🇺🇸

Our sincere thanks to the World Sh*toryu Karate Federation, organizing committee, referees, and volunteers for their dedication in bringing this championship together.

To our coaches, families, teammates, and supporters—thank you for the time, preparation, encouragement, and support that allowed our athletes to reach this stage. 🙏

We return home with new experiences, friendships, and memories, along with greater motivation to continue learning and growing in Karatedo.

90+ travelers. 22 athletes. 9 medals. One team. One journey we will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

Thank you, Yokohama and Japan, for welcoming our USA Sh*tokai family. 🇺🇸🇯🇵

And a very special thank you to our Shihan Luis Sanchez Luis Sanchez whose guidance made this journey possible. Thank you for leading us throughout this beautiful experience, sharing Japan and Karatedo with us, and helping us create some of the best memories of our lives. We will carry them with us forever. 🙏🥋❤️

🥇🥇 Isabella Sanchez — Double Gold Pan-American Champion! 🇺🇸

We are incredibly proud of our very own Senpai Isa for winning 1st Place in both Junior Kata and Kumite -48kg at the Pan-American Championships!

This marks her 8th consecutive final at the Pan-American Championships and is officially the greatest accomplishment in our dojo’s 23-year history.

Even more remarkable, Isabella was the only athlete among all participating countries to win gold in both Kata and Kumite — an extraordinary achievement that shows the incredible level of dedication, versatility, and determination it takes to compete and succeed at the highest level in both disciplines.

Isa, you have shown us what true hard work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication can accomplish. You continue to set an example for every athlete in our dojo and for the younger generation coming behind you. You have shown them that when you stay humble, work hard, trust the process, and never stop pushing yourself to improve, incredible things are possible.

A very special thank you to Sensei Luis Sanchez for sitting in that coach’s chair as a Team USA coach, guiding us, believing in us, and constantly pushing us to become better athletes. Having you there representing our country and supporting Isa throughout this journey makes this accomplishment even more special. 🇺🇸

It is an absolute honor to have Isabella represent Team USA and Florida Karate Clubs on the Pan-American stage. To see one of our own stand at the top of the podium — not once, but twice — is a moment we will never forget.

Isa, we could not be more proud of you. You are a champion, a leader, and most importantly, an example for every student in our dojo to follow. Your accomplishments inspire all of us to dream bigger, train harder, and continue striving for excellence.

Congratulations, Senpai Isa! 🥇🥇🇺🇸
Pan-American Champion in Kata & Kumite.
A historic achievement. A proud moment for Team USA and Florida Karate Clubs. ❤️🤍💙

💛💙❤️ Our hearts are with Venezuela during this incredibly difficult time. We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the recent earthquake. Many of our students, families, and friends have roots in Venezuela, and we stand with them in prayer and support.

We are praying for the safety, strength, and healing of everyone affected. May God bring comfort to those who are hurting and protection to those still in danger.

🇻🇪 Please keep Venezuela and its people in your thoughts and prayers.
