Today was a very special day for me, and I wanted to share something that has been on my heart.
About 10 years ago, I started bringing my students to this tournament. Many of them were just yellow belts or white belts back then. Today, seeing those same students standing on the other side as referees, helping run the tournament, and making everything happen was truly emotional and meaningful to me.
Even more touching was seeing some of my former students helping as assistant coaches, holding targets, and guiding younger athletes. And seeing my current students being supported and encouraged not only by me, but also by my own students, was something truly special.
Today, I realized that what we are building at YKwon Taekwondo is much bigger than just teaching Taekwondo or winning medals. We are building a family, developing leaders, and creating a legacy that continues from one generation to the next.
I don't know what each of you or your children took away from today's tournament, but for me, after everything we have experienced over the past 10 years, I can honestly say that today was one of the most rewarding and meaningful tournaments I have ever attended.
When I looked around today, I could see how far we have come. And more importantly, I could see the future right in front of me.
It made me even more excited to think about what the next 10 years could bring for all of us.
My dream is to continue growing YKwon Taekwondo into something even bigger and better, not just as a school, but as a community where our students become leaders, support one another, and carry the values of Taekwondo into their lives.
But I also know that I cannot do it alone. For our school to grow, I need your continued support, involvement, and belief in what we are building together. Every family, every student, and every bit of encouragement makes a difference.
Let's continue to support one another, work together, and move forward with a positive attitude and a shared vision for a brighter future.
The first 10 years have given us so many memories. Now, I am excited to see what we can accomplish together in the next 10.
