The perfect submission lies in the fundamentals. As demonstrated in today's training, simply using brute force to isolate your opponent's arm from the mount isn't enough. The real secret to locking in the Americana without giving them a chance to defend lies in a subtle movement: a slight wrist rotation combined with heavy weight distribution.
If you don't apply your weight correctly onto the isolated arm, your opponent will find space to escape. The step-by-step is clear:
1️⃣ Secure the grip
2️⃣ Rotate the wrist
3️⃣ Pull it toward you
4️⃣ Press down and finish!
