2013 Jackson Generals Baseball Award Ceremony

Award Ceremony tomorrow!! 6:45pm at Miami Jackson High Auditorium. Dress clothes, see you there. I'm giving tickets away to players for friends and family, let me know if you need additional tickets!!!!!!!!!

When a player tells me, "Thank you for giving me the chance to play with you and for everything you've taught me and everything you will teach me, I'm a better player because of you, everything you've given me I would of never been able to pay for yet you saw potential when everyone else only looked for talent I'm graceful for you life", it completely overpowers any ignorant thing anyone could have to say.

All I'm gonna say, and you know who you are, is that you guys are in my prayers; I don't know why you're so evil, but I pray you wake up one day, a normal person; Amen.

Anyways, I love my Jackson boys, and the 2013 Jackson Generals will never be forgotten!

Remember: tomorrow before school, pass by the locker room to turn in your birth certificate (if you're playing RBI) and any money/uniform owed.

Our season ended 3 days ago, and we are already back together as a team. Today it wasn't on a baseball field however; today, Jackson Baseball participated in "Global Youth Service Day". Along with the Marlins RBI Program, we took over at "Shake a Leg Miami" and helped clean up one of the islands they use to service disabled kids and adults, on a routine bases.

Shake-A-Leg Miami is South Florida's premier adaptive water sports community that serves people of all abilities. With many programs offered seven days a week, Shake-A-Leg Miami provides many opportunities for children, youth and adults with or without physical challenges to experience beautiful Biscayne Bay.

We at Miami Jackson would like to thank "Shake a Leg Miami", and the Marlins/Marlins RBI program, for everything they do in the community, for our community!!!!!!!

The proof is definitely in the pudding... lol. We accomplished a lot this year, even through all the adversity we had to face. Yes, we did come up short with a 5 run loss(10-5), but it could have been worse; we could have lost by MUCH more.

I'm proud to say I am a part of Jackson Baseball. A Program that is built on the right values, and that is all about building character. Other programs are not fortunate enough to say that. Some programs have players who are constantly fighting, always divided, and have NO chemistry. EVEN THE COACHES TALK BAD ABOUT EACH OTHER, BEHIND THEIR BACKS! LOL.... but of course, they come together to bad mouth others... Thank God I'm a General!

Set your calendar ladies and gentlemen; Monday at Pace, 7pm game start, Jackson vs ACC; winner advances to the District Championship, and has an automatic berth into Regional. THE GENERALS ARE GOING TO WAR!!!!!

Making a habit, of letting go of your top hand after full extension, promotes not dominating the bat with your top hand; as a result, you won't roll over prematurely as often, and you won't lose bat speed by pushing the bat through the zone...... If you didn't understand what You just read, message me, I only charge $20 for a one on one, explanation on the proper hitting mechanics.

Some HS Coaches need to start teaching the right swing, and not the swing they learned in the 80's and 90's from their dads and little league coaches..... The proper swing has mechanically evolved for the better. Stop being ignorant; analyze a successful swing, and learn for yourself.
