We celebrate the ideals of liberty and democracy, not because they are fully realized, but because they are worth striving for. We acknowledge the Indigenous people who were here long before 1776, and the generations of immigrants whose labor, culture, and resilience built this nation.

In our work, we are honored to walk alongside families from many nations, backgrounds, and identities. We are deeply committed to supporting their pursuit of happiness and well-being, because the American promise means little if it does not include all of us.

In a time when rights are under threat and voices are silenced, we remain committed to resisting tyranny and bigotry in all forms. Our fight is rooted in love, justice, and the belief that freedom, equality, and opportunity should be for everyone.

Just as we teach children to use dialogue over conflict, our world leaders must do the same using diplomacy. In light of ongoing conflict, may we commit to solutions rooted in humanity, healing, and hope. True strength lies in the pursuit of peace.

Please be mindful that children may be hearing or seeing the news. Watch for signs of worry and reassure them with calm, age-appropriate conversations.

Injustice, violence, and systemic inequities continue to harm Black communities every day. So while we honor this historic day, we also recognize that freedom is not a moment—it’s a mission still in progress.

Let this day renew our commitment to listen, learn, and take meaningful action. A more just and liberated future is possible—and we all have a role to play in building it.
