A very special night for Valente Brothers Brickell!

Today we officially held our first group classes at our new school.

This is a soft opening for our friends, family and founding members as we continue putting the finishing touches on the academy. After months of planning, construction and hard work, it was truly special to finally see our students together on the mats in our new home.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us and believed in this project. This is only the beginning, and we are extremely excited about what we are building together.

Our official inauguration celebration is being planned for mid-August. More information coming soon!

Today we celebrated our June belt promotion, and I am extremely pleased and honored to have awarded blue belts to Callie Chen and Tommy Maher.

Callie’s background in competitive Taekwondo and tennis, combined with her financial and professional experience, certainly accelerated her learning curve. More importantly, however, she dedicated herself to learning and applying our self-defense system with consistency, humility, and determination.

Tommy Maher brings a strong MMA background and joined us from California. He is a force to be reckoned with and has made our entire school better through his work ethic, skill, and willingness to help those around him grow.

A special thank you to all the members of VBJJ Brickell who were present in support and representation of our school. Your commitment, friendship, and dedication are what make moments like these possible.

Congratulations, Callie and Tommy. Your blue belts are well deserved, and we look forward to seeing what comes next in your journey.

One of the most special aspects of a belt ceremony at Valente Brothers Headquarters is seeing students from every stage of the journey come together as one team.

From white belts taking their first steps, to advanced students refining their skills, to fellow black belts who continue to lead by example, each person contributes to the culture, growth, and strength of our school.

Ju-Jutsu is an individual journey, but no one advances alone. We learn from those who came before us, grow alongside our training partners, and help those who come after us.

Grateful for the opportunity to share the mat with such an outstanding group of students and instructors. Congratulations to everyone who earned a promotion and thank you to all who were present to support and celebrate.
