🌟Meet our AMAZING Coach Erika!

β€œHello Everyone,
My name is Erika. I'm currently in my senior year of college at Barry University where I am working on completing a degree in Social Work. I came to Invictus Gymnastics & Therapy because of my love for gymnastics and my desire to help others. My goal is to develop a close relationship with the children and their families in order to better support their success in both gymnastics and in life!”

We are very excited to have you join the IG&T family! πŸ˜†

Climbing and flipping upside down is the best! 🀸🏻

Did you know that being upside down can help regulate the nervous system, provides vestibular input, self-regulation, improves brain function, and increases blood flow to 🧠.

Do you ever spend time upside down?

Perspective is created by learning, knowing, and understanding our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Noticing a child’s perspective, reflecting it, and showing that their experience is valid, allows children to engage and be open to other perspectives.

Julie is expressing her perspective by using her πŸ“Έ and telling us how she views and feels about gymnastics 😁😍

1. What do you see in the first two pictures?
2. Is it the same as Julie’s observation in picture 3?

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Imagery is a great tool to use to ask children about their feelings. It is also a great reminder that ALL feelings are valid and should be accepted.

It is okay to ask for support.
