Maintenance life update 💥
The last few months I’ve been in a more flexible phase—
A teeny tiny bit of less structure (for me:)
more go-with-the-flow which was needed after the year 📸
And now?
Im back to following a super structured maintenance meal plan.
Not because I am dieting -I am NOT!!!!!
I’m eating actually more than I ever have,
just with way more intention:💯
• higher quality foods
• locking in nutrient timing with more specificity than ever
• supporting training, recovery, and life in general
This is what I coach—and this is what I live for.
Reminder- Maintenance isn’t a free for all
You must still have those guard rails up.
It’s the sweet spot to grow no matter what the scale freaking does people🤗

The one little shift that changes everything!
Most people eat first… then track after!
And what happens?
Calories are already gone!
Protein is way low!
Carbs and fats are usually random and high!
And suddenly the day feels “off.” and you feel burnt out from playing macro Tetris all day in your app.
When you track first, you’re in control!
You build your day with intention!
You make sure your protein is covered first and foremost!

10 YEARS SOBER TODAY.
10 years ago today, I made a life-changing decision:
to give up alcohol for just 1 month.
Just 1 month to “clean out!”
Little did I know, it would become the absolute BEST decision of my life.
As I got deeper into lifting and dabbling in macros, I struggled to balance my desire for GAINZ with my love for living the party, rock-and-roll, Key West lifestyle.
I really thought I could rage every weekend…
And then make up for it by exercising more, doing some 2 a days, and restricting food during the week…
and just keep repeating the vicious weekend warrior cycle.
But we all know that’s the definition of PURE insanity.
I realized I couldn’t have it all.
And the truth?
I didn’t actually want it all.
It was just hard to pull the trigger.
It felt so final.
Because what about fun?
What about the late-night chaos closing down the bars with all my homies?
The truth is…
I got clarity.
I woke the F*CK up!
I found everything I needed in an alcohol-free lifestyle.
What started as a month turned into 2, then 6, then a year, and I’ve never looked back.
My life has flourished in ways I never imagined – from my physical & mental health, relationships, and my career. And I’ve put in the work to build a body and a life I’m proud of!
And now I get to hep people all over the country build a life they are proud of being a coach .coaching
I’m not saying everyone needs to stone cold quit drinking like me, but I’m sharing what worked for me.
I tell my clients: moderation is key, but it might require adjusting expectations.
Remember, you can have some, but not all, if you’re serious about your goals.
Today marks my 10 year sober anniversary, and it’s been a topic of conversation.
Alcohol doesn’t align with most fitness goals – for 1 it’s a F*CKIN toxin!
It hinders progress with empty calories, dehydration, poor sleep, and many poor decisions.
IT’S A TOXIN TO YOUR BODY AND YOUR LIFE!
For me, alcohol-free is the only way, and I would have it any other way!
Here’s to a decade of being crisp and a lifetime to go!

Most people don’t fail because they “aren’t disciplined.”
They fail because they don’t have a system or structure!
And their goals are way too vague!
Your nervous system doesn’t respond to ideas.
It responds to clear instructions
Here’s what that looks like ⬇️⬇️
❌ “I’ll get my steps in.”
→ How many? On which days? Average or minimum?
✅ “I’ll average 8,500 steps per day this week (≈60k for the week).”
❌ “I’ll eat better.”
→ Better than what? When? How?
✅ “Protein at every meal — 25–35g, at least 3 meals per day.”
❌ “I’ll be more consistent with workouts.”
→ Consistent when?
✅ “Train 4x/week at 7am. Sessions are scheduled and non-negotiable.”
❌ “I’ll drink more water.”
→ Vague = forgettable.
✅ “80 oz/day:
• 20 oz before coffee
• 20 oz mid-morning
• 20 oz afternoon
• 20 oz evening”
❌ “I’ll stop snacking.”
→ Restriction without structure = rebound.
✅ “One planned snack daily, pre tracked, eaten seated — no grazing in the pantry.”
Here’s the deal:
Outcome goals (lose fat, feel better, get lean) don’t create change.
Process goals do💯💯💯!!!!
Clear targets remove decision fatigue.
They turn effort into habits.
They make progress repeatable.
That’s how we change

Maintenance thoughts🏁
Maintenance is…
NOT the absence of discipline — it’s the phase where strength, food flexibility , and real life coexist.
The hardest part is accepting you can’t be photo-shoot lean forever… and still choosing to show up day after day.

So no, one Thanksgiving meal is NOT ruining your progress.
What does mess people up is turning:
“Thanksgiving Day” into
“Thanksgiving… plus Friday… plus Saturday… plus Sunday… and I’ll start over Monday.” Or wait but then there is that holiday party next week “ so after that…..etc etc.
REMINDER: Why the Scale Jumps (But It’s Not Fat)
That 2–5 lb jump you see after?
Most of it is:
*Extra carbs → more glycogen + water
*Extra sodium → water retention
*Extra food volume still in your system
That’s bloat + water, not 5 lbs of instant fat.
On Thanksgiving:
• Enjoy the meal
• Eat the dessert
• Be with your peeps
• No guilt.
Not one “I’ve been bad.”
The next day:
-Back to your normal meals
-Back to water and steps
-Back to your usual plan, not punishment or “I’ll fix it Monday”
Or as I always say use those extra carbs and crushhhhhhh your lift the next day🙌🏿
You don’t lose your results from one day.. You lose them when you let the whole season turn into a total free-for-all.
Heres to enjoying the holiday food and keeping the momentum.
Break the cycle!

Here’s the dealio….
If you want your physique to change… the way you train and the way you fuel your body have to level up.
Most people “work out” and don’t train.
Training with intention means:
🌀Quality reps — not rushing through, not ego lifting
🌀Training the muscle you’re trying to target
🌀Owning your tempo instead of chasing speed
🌀Pushing with focus, not just going through the motions
🌀Treating your session like it’s part of your job — because it is if you want results
And then there’s your food…….
You can’t expect your body to be toned, sculpted, muscular, or lean if your nutrition is built on “if it fits your macros” snacks, bites, treats, protein bars, and convenience.
You cannot OUT TRAIN a poor macro/micro deficient diet. Plain and simple.
Fuel with quality:
🔸 Mostly whole, nutrient-dense foods
🔸 Protein at mostly every meal
🔸 Carbs that support performance
🔸 Fats that support hormones
🔸 Plants & fruits at each meal
🔸 Hydrate
When you combine intentional training with quality fuel, your body has no choice but to respond.
It’s not complicated — it’s consistent inputs.
Show up with purpose!
Fuel like you mean it!
Have some patience!
Watch your physique change.

Me, Beth, Peggie, and Amy started this photo shoot prep journey in April — we dieted hard through summer heat, tracking every single deficit macro, lifting consistently, walking our asses off day in and day out.
Did all the things….. even when we didn’t feel like it
It wasn’t just about a photo shoot…
it was about what we built and we did this s**t together.
The bond. The laughter. The hunger.
The drive that grows when you’re surrounded by women who want to see you win.
We came for the goals…
but we’re leaving knowing we did the hard thing and now we have some dope framers for our offices😂
We’re all still reverse dieting — training hard, living fully, and doing the same basic lifestyle… just with a few more calories on board.
