As most of you already know, the women's national team won the FINA World Championships this week in South Korea. This was extra special for the Riptides as our own Ashleigh Johnson played incredibly and was named MVP.

Sadly, there was an incident yesterday that resulted in injuries to some of Team USA's athletes and two non-athlete fatalities. Details can be found in the article below.

All those involved in this terrible accident are in our thoughts and prayers, especially those that lost their lives and those that were injured. We are extremely relieved that Ashleigh is okay and is on her way back to California, where Chelsea will stay to be with her.

Riptides had an incredible weekend at the 2018 Sunshine State Games! We took 7 teams and ended with 5 First Place / GOLD Medals and 2 Second Place / Silver Medals! Once again, our Riptides club had an impressive showing at the South Florida International Tournament! 19U Girls finished in 2nd place overall, 19U Boys in 3rd place, 16U Boys in 5th place and 14U Coed in 6th Place! GO RIPTIDES!!!
