We (I) voted!
The kids and I were excited all week knowing we were going to our local library, with our library cards in our wallets, as soon as I picked them up from school on Friday.
Other than continuing to learn about my very important task at hand, we enjoyed looking at the books, people, and enjoying our time together.
We might have gone to eat at afterwards, too!

This organic batch:
- 3 celery heads
- 2 cucumbers
- 2 apples
- 2 limes
- 2 inches of ginger
- 1 inch of tumeric

Meet the stranger who INSPIRED ME to push harder during my first journey.
4:45 am my alarm clock would rudely wake me up, but the moment my brain remembered why, I excitedly jumped out of bed and hit the pavement for my first of two workouts that day.
Yes, it was early. Yes, it was dark. Yet, I quickly learned I wasn’t going to be alone out there. Pretty early on I realized this same man was out walking every single damn day with me.
We kept waving hello as good neighbors do, so finally one day we spoke and he told me he was 80 years old and wakes up every day and walks 3 miles before everyone gets up.
From that moment on, I drew a line the sand and said IF HE CAN, I CAN.
75 Hard requires two 45-minute workouts a day, one must be outside. Admittedly, when you first shift to this your body screams out for help and the urge to sleep while you’re out there walking may be a true temptation. 🤣 However, if this amazing 80 year young man can do it, my then 38 year old self could.
Fast forward to today, I’m on Round 2 of 75Hard and here he is at 82 still consistent as hell. So, naturally, I stop him to tell him he inspired me all those years ago and it’s because of HIM that I do no less than 3 miles if my outside workout is a walk or a walk/jog. He was so touched and grateful that I told him. He then proceeded to point towards his long vertical scar and said he just had open heart surgery and is back in his routine now that he’s all healed up.
WHAT. A. FREAKING. SUPERHERO. 👏🏻 🦸♂️ When I grow up, I want to be just like him. I’m going to keep pushing play inside on and get my daily 3 miles in outside while he and I nod hello with smiles on our hearts.
(Don’t worry mom, I know you taught me not to talk to strangers, I don’t always talk to strange men in the dark 🤣 he’s one of the good ones)

We made it!! Last day of Virtual School!! I want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to all the teachers who made this year so smooth despite all obstacles. You are SO INCREDIBLY APPRECIATED. As a teacher mom,
this was one of the most challenging years for me both personally and professionally. I had to make some hard choices and big sacrifices and I suffered some serious losses. I went through things I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Despite any of the hard, I got to spend this entire year with my kids. Never would I ever have been given this precious time with my children and I didn’t take one second for granted. It was hard staying home for over a year but we made it. WE DID IT. WE MADE IT. WE CAME OUT THE OTHER SIDE BETTER FOR IT. THANK YOU TEACHERS!!!! We ❤️ You!!

Am I the only one who completely fangirls over signed books!?! I won this signed copy on Instagram last week and was so excited to receive it in the mail today. Monday: My internet went out 20 minutes before the start of the school day, I called Comcast (if you know you know 😡), and I still got my workout in and my kids set up for class on time!! I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR! 😂 What a WIN 😂

I meal prepped until I dropped 😂 I typically take a few hours on Sunday after playtime with the kids to prepare food in bulk. That way when the hustle and bustle of the week begins, I can stick to my plan stress-free.
In my Tupperware:
- chimichurri chicken breast
- mustard glazed salmon
- Fixate chili
- roasted veggies
- brown rice
- oatmeal
- beans
- Fixate Caesar dressing
Already ready:
- hummus
- guacamole
- cut raw veggies
It might take some work but I always am so grateful that it’s all finished and I only have one clean up instead of many throughout the week. Plus, when life hands you lemons as it inevitably does, I’ll be less likely to grab food out of convenience. This helps me stay on track. ❤️

I did it!
