All of us have the same capacity. We can do anything, if we put our heart and mind into it. But the challenge here is not necessarily on the goal setting, but on the goal keeping.
Starting things is exciting. We buy new gym clothes, new socks, maybe even a new water bottle, and we set our alarm to early morning: “Yeah this year I’ll be a fit girl!”. Well, I’ve been there.
In my case, this motivation lasts for a couple of days, and any disturbance in the routine brings me back to day 0. I start to feel I’m not made for it, or that it’s simply too difficult.
But it gets easier if we stick to it. Be consistent. If one day you couldn’t do it, try the next day. Don’t give up.
Mastery comes with practice. With consistency.
I believe in you. Keep going :)

I've decided to share a bit of the history of the Limm bands with you guys and I'll do it in a "Did you know?" format. I hope you like it 😜
Did you know...
.. that the Limm bands were the very first set of 5 loop bands on Amazon? The fifth band (the X-light) was intended to be a bonus, targeting physical therapy (I actually still remember the night we've decided that, we were around the table having dinner haha). Our customers loved the 5 resistances so much that this 5-bands set became a hit!
.. that Limm was created in 2014, but the Limm bands are around since 2016.
.. that we have always produced bands 100% natural latex (never TPE), due to the superior quality of latex.

I’ve tried many different ways to stay fit. I’ve joined the gym a gazillion times, but after 2-3 months I’ve always stopped going. I’ve tried swimming, but hated how my hair became after the chlorine. I’ve tried other things to, but have always ended up quitting.
Why?
Because I wasn’t enjoying the journey.
I believe the key to staying fit is to find an activity you can’t wait to do, even on a rainy day. With those activities, the goal of losing weight or becoming stronger is there, but the fun is the journey.

Different weights come in different forms 😉
Each one of us has our own strengths and weaknesses, and each workout will require a different weight to work with. While we keep exercising, we keep evolving and getting stronger, and naturally we will want to start performing the routine with a new weight.
Who doesn't like to feel evolving?
The fun thing is that this "new weight" can come in different forms, we just need to be open and diversify our workout tools. 💪 Sometimes even performing the same workout slower can bring increased difficulty to the routine!
I love the resistance bands because they come in different levels of resistance. And you? With which workout tool you feel your progress more clearly?

Do B***y Bands Build Muscle? Yes, absolutely! But there's a catch...
We all know that b***y bands are great if you want to build strong glutes and sculpt rounder hips. The constant tension will push your muscles to the limit with all the effectiveness of a resistance band workout.
Indeed, as James Shapiro, NASM-certified personal trainer said in an interview, b***y bands can "create a field of resistance and can, by that definition, create muscle when going through a high volume of training. Exercising with these bands help isolate and target, and thus activate, the smaller glute muscles: glute minimus and glute medius."
But here is the catch: they are incredibly effective if you're more of a beginner, as “the range of motion is limited and the amount of resistance is limited to the heaviest band in your bunch." This means that yes, b***y bands are great workout tools to start, but once you reach a point that you feel you are not progressing anymore, then you'll need to pick up the weights.
My suggestion is: choose a b***y band that has high resistance, or even buy a set of progressive resistance, and start your training from there. The start is the most difficult stage. Then develop your workout habit, train your muscle and get ready to, in a couple of months, face heavier weights :)

I was so inspired by this quote from our amazing 🥰
I truly believe on it. 👊 Each one of us is different, with our tastes, likes, hobbies and flaws too, why not? And we are incredible the way we are. We just need to know ourselves better to identify what truly works for us and what doesn’t, and start leaning more and more towards what does.
And this applies to workouts too. There is no right formula on how to workout and which exercises to do. You can stay fit in so many different ways! I find this fascinating, actually. Some people really love going to the gym, others prefer to do sports 3x a week, others prefer yoga routines + cardio, etc…
For me, I find that a morning yoga routine of 25 minutes is the key for an awesome day. Then I try hard to squeeze roller skating 3x a week into my routine, for cardio. If not, I use the rebounder I recently bought that can really be a good cardio friend :)
Remember: use your particularities to your favor. You are powerful and beautiful, and the perfect workout for you is just around the corner. Let’s go together! 🙌

We have recently received a feedback from our customer Deb: “All the resources are fabulous and I can’t wait to go through them. I am just starting out as I retired a few months ago and need to start working out.”
She bought the Limm Resistance Loop Bands, and I’m so excited for her! I’m 100% confident that the resistance bands will be simply the best tool for her to start her workout routine. When we retire, things change significantly, and we see ourselves forced to create new habits. And the daily workout habit is one of the best ones to develop ;)
I believe the resistance bands are also great to create a habit because we can always find the ideal resistance for each kind of workout. Too tough to use the red bands for the legs? Try the blue or the green… Another exercise too easy? Try the black bands! This way we have no excuse to quit the habit, as we are always evolving and diversifying.
For anyone out there wanting to develop a workout routine at home, a piece of advice: start small and be consistent. Every day a bit. You will start seeing the results on your humor and energy, and then you, my dear, will be hooked! : ) Happy retirement, Deb!
