The park offers a peaceful place for visitors to relax and enjoy centuries old White Oak trees, a variety of woodland wildflowers and several species of birds that nest and forage throughout the park.

Ever wonder about this chainsaw chair near shelter #2? Our parks director, Rex Gore, created it more than five years ago when the tree had to be removed. He said why not make something out of the stump? Park visitors love it! One family sat their great grandmother there as a place of honor for her birthday! How cool is that?
