Michigan City Open Swim

Michigan City Open Swim Every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:45 until 8:30 the pool at Michigan City High School is open for lap and open swimming. We are closed holidays.

Other closings will be posted here in as timely a manner as possible. $2 for adults, $1 for students

Mondays are back!!!!! Athena has cleared her schedule for us and will be guarding Mondays and Wednesdays again. As always we will post any closures here.

As of right now we are open tonight, 8/12/26. However, that does not mean that future weather events or a request to close by MCAS for other safety concerns may not happen. Furthermore, if there is lightning within a 10 mile radius as much as 30 minutes before we are scheduled to open, we will not, as per Indiana law. I will post as soon as possible any changes we have to our open status.

State law prohibits the use of the pool when lightning is in the area. Therefore, based on the current weather and projected forecast we will not have open swim tonight.

Emily sprained her ankle and Athena is not available so we are cancelled tonight. Keep checking for Wednesday.

I found Lifeguard! We will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, after all.

I am sorry but we will be closed this week as well. I thought I had a lifeguard lined up, but that fell through. Emily will be back next week.
