Not quite the night we were looking for…
First practice saw David trying to settle back in to Seekonk but quickly picked it up for second practice. Qualifying had us running our fastest time yet landing P4 out of the 15 car field.
This would start us P2 for feature. David didn’t have the greatest start getting in the middle of a 3 wide battle for 5 laps. Eventually we would be shuffled back to 8th and then contact with another car sent David spinning on lap 6. He would have to restart at the back of the field. David took a breath, settled in, and battled his way back to a 9th place finish!
We’ll regroup, refocus, and come back stronger for next week!

Curious why we say this petition is misleading? Canvassers lying directly to voters in order to collect their signatures.

Metro Nashville has released no plans to demolish the Fairgrounds Speedway. Yet canvassers are reportedly trained to begin conversations by claiming the Speedway is already slated for demolition, leading voters to believe land is available for affordable housing.

Affordable housing is being used to obscure the petition's true purpose of eliminating auto racing at the Fairgrounds. Why obscure that goal? Because petition organizers know Nashvillians support the Speedway. In 2011, 71% of voters approved making auto racing a required use of the Fairgrounds. This petition is not only directed at the Speedway. It seeks to overturn the will of Nashville voters. That is why these canvassers feel compelled to mislead the public.

P12!
It was a crazy weekend of heat and rain. Because of rain yesterday we had one practice and no qualifying causing the starting line up to be based off practice times. Trying something new in practice didn’t make the best times and would start David 19th out of a 22 car field.
He played it smart, drove his line, and fought hard for the shortened, 15 lap, race. The car became tight after some contact with another driver but he didn’t give up and brought it home P12. We’re happy with the finish, will regroup, and look forward to our next race in October!

Until then it’s back home to make our weekly runs at Seekonk Speedway!

Thank you to Anointed Driver Development and the incredible Fetcho Motorsports team (especially Dylan)!

And to our Nashville Sponsors: Jsmooth Tinting LLC, NES Solutions, Carey's Discount Oil, and Classic Collision of Dedham for keeping us running 🏁

Weather Forces Remaining Bass Tire Family Night Features to Sunday at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Rain has forced the remainder of Saturday night’s Bass Tire Family Night racing program at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway to be postponed until Sunday, August 9, with the remaining feature action scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon.

Two feature events were completed before rain arrived at the historic speedway. Lucas Harrison continued his outstanding season by winning the CP Race Wear Bandolero feature, his third victory in four Nashville starts this year. Brett Lee remained perfect in Pest Doctor Front Runner competition, leading flag-to-flag to record his fourth victory in four races.

The Pro/Masters Legends feature was on track when the weather arrived and will resume Sunday with 13 laps remaining. From there, the remainder of Saturday’s program will be completed, including the highly anticipated 100-lap Pro Late Model feature on the historic 5/8-mile.

Sunday’s remaining feature lineup includes:
• Pro/Masters Legends – Remaining 13 laps
• Pure Stocks – 20 laps
• Semi-Pro/Young Lion Legends – 20 laps
• Limited Late Models – 25 laps
• HRA Street Stocks – 35 laps
• Pro Late Models – 100 laps

Sunday’s schedule will see the pit gates open at 10:00 a.m., followed by the grandstands at 11:00 a.m. and feature racing at 12:00 noon.

Fans and competitors who attended Saturday night’s program are asked to keep their tickets and wristbands, as they will be required for re-entry on Sunday.

For race fans who were unable to attend Saturday’s portion of Bass Tire Family Night, grandstand tickets and pit passes will be available for purchase Sunday, giving everyone another opportunity to see the majority of the weekend’s feature racing program.

The Sunday continuation will be highlighted by two races on Nashville’s famed 5/8-mile oval. The HRA Street Stocks will battle for 35 laps, while the Nashville Pro Late Models will close out the weekend with their 100-lap main event and the second leg of the Rogers Dabbs Performance Parts Challenge.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 9
Pit Gates Open – 10:00 AM
Grandstands Open – 11:00 AM
Feature Racing – 12:00 NOON
