The Mad City Pond Hockey Championship is a unique opportunity for hockey lovers of all ages to experience the roots of hockey by playing “in the elements”.
There is something magical about playing outside, for the adult players think of all those great memories of shinny on the neighborhood rinks. For the youth, we wanted to create this event to share this joy and hopefully get them to appreciate hockey’s past. Madison is the Capital of Wisconsin, home of the Badgers and with all of its attractions lends itself to be not only a great spot for familie

Registration is now open!!! Register your team for the 2018 Mad City Pond Hockey Championships!
The 5th annual Mad City Pond Hockey Championships will take place at Esser Pond in Madison, WI on January 19th-21st, 2018.
Registration for the 2018 tournament will open on Wednesday July 26th, 2017 at 10am CST. Visit our website at www.madcitypondhockey.com to sign up...See you on the pond!!!

***Important Tournament Update***
We cannot wait for the Mad City Pond Hockey Championships!
We are dedicated to providing a premier pond hockey experience and our top priority is player safety. A forecasted increase in temperatures and rain has raised concerns regarding ice quality for game play as well as safety issues for staff, volunteers, spectators and most importantly our players. Therefore, we decided to move the Mad City Pond Hockey Championships to it's "rain date" of Friday, January 27th through Sunday, January 29th. We know this may cause some scheduling and travel conflicts, but we take player safety very seriously and hope that you can join us on our "rain date".
We have a record number of registered players, but still have a few spots open. Please share with your friends and others to give them the opportunity to play in Central Wisconsin's Premier Pond Hockey Tournament. Registration will close at Midnight on Friday, January 20th.
Our partner hotels have blocked off rooms for Thursday, January 26th through Sunday, January 29th for you.
We will be calling each team captain today to discuss the "rain date" and address any questions or concerns.
