We will have 3 different lots of Center X at this Saturday’s match, in various quantities. If interested, you can try all 3 and see which you prefer. They will be 160/brick.
Please get there early to try them out, because this is our Big Range Day, and we’ll have a centerfire pistol side match immediately after the 22 match, then sporting clays, so time will be limited.
Message me if you have any questions, we’ll see you this Saturday 9/12.

Here is the brief for the match on Saturday 9/12.
This will be our annual big range day match. We’ll have our 22 match as usual, then afterwards we’ll have a side centerfire pistol match, entry for that is 10/person. After that we’ll go to the clubhouse and pay for 50 clay birds for sporting clays. The combined winner for all 3 events will win the pot.
We did this last September and had a great time. I would expect to be done with everything around 4pm. But it should be a lot of fun combining multiple disciplines into one big event.
Here we go:
Stage 1: Vortex Optics Benchrest, take a position on the bench and engage each of the 25 targets with one round each. Unlimited rounds on the sighter targets.
5 minutes, 125 points possible
Stage 2: Shaw Armament Systems Hostages, typewriter rules, take a modified prone position on the bench and engage the hostage takers from large to small. If you miss or hit a hostage, you lose your points for that lag and start over at target 1. Once you have successfully hit the last target, those points are banked and you start over. The goal is to have three successful cycles. Unlimited rounds.
2 minutes, 120 points possible
Stage 3: Sure-Shot Shooting Supplies, LLC Ratchet Straps. Engage the large then small targets with one round each from each of the 5 positions.
2 minutes, 100 points possible
Stage 4: Middletown Sportsmen’s Club JTOD, engage the snake charmer at 105 yards with one round from each of the 10 positions.
2 minutes, 100 points possible
Stage 5: Thunder Valley Precision John Wick. Stab the mannequin with a pencil, then throw one of the three knives into a block of wood. If none of them stick you must retrieve them and try again, after 30 seconds has elapsed, you may proceed even if you didn’t stick a knife. You will then grab the provided pistol and engage a target w/5 rounds, then gently set it down and grab the provided lever r***e and engage the next target w/5 rounds. You’ll then transfer to your r***e and engage the target rack at 200 with one round each.
2 minutes, 150 points possible
Ryan Williams will setup the pistol side match, he’ll brief us that morning.
This should be a fun day at Middletown Sportsmans Club. You aren’t required to do the whole thing, if you just want to do the normal 22 match, that’s completely fine.
Only the 22 match will count towards the championship points, like normal.
We really hope you can spend the day with us, it will be a lot of fun.
We look forward to seeing everyone this Saturday!
