Lots of questions about YANA in Jamestown last Friday. YANA stands for You Are Not Alone- we hold 12 step meetings and community events in our beautiful building in Middletown.

YANA will be in Jamestown tomorrow with a table and info on what we do (hold 12 step meetings and events for community), and who we are (people from all walks of life, all ages, spreading the word that - You Are Not Alone) We face addiction together, and recover-one day at a time!

Felix de Weldon lived for some time in Newport at Beacon Rock, home now to the New York Yacht Club. His life was certainly filled with highs and lows but this most famous sculpture of his is at the entrance to the Arlington National Cemetery. Today, on Memorial Day we remember the brave Americans who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. So much more than cookouts and sales!

With Memorial Day around the corner, school ending for many, lots of change is in the air. Take a little time to unwind and just BE- remembering we are human BEings, not human DOings!

Last week, we partnered with YANA Newport County to bring The First Day Film to the community.

Grateful for partners like YANA—and for leaders who are committed to creating space for honest conversations around substance use and mental health.

Two big events tomorrow Sunday the 17th! YANA members meeting at 10:30- lots to share and we will be voting too. Also Sunday night- Al-Anon anniversary!

Hope you can make it to the Annual Members Meeting this Sunday-nutrition talk will be on another date TBA- but we’ll have snacks!
