King Pong

Fundamental to Catholic teaching on immigration is the core belief that the dignity of the person is inherent and their rights inalienable. The church teaches that every person’s fundamental rights are not contingent on any law, but are based on their nature as children of God, created in God’s image.

When Tina and I opened King Pong 3 1/2 years ago, we had no idea it would mark the beginning of so many terrific friendships - our “King Pong family”.
Today, we are proud and excited to report that one wonderful friend and member of our King Pong family, Liz, from the Philippines, has become a United States citizen! Believe me when I tell you, our country is the better for Liz being in it!

It was such a pleasure to host Connecticut Tamil Sangam yesterday! Fair to say it was the greatest single event King Pong has hosted so far, with 64 players participating in a tournament that ran from 10am to 6pm. What a wonderful community! The time flew by for me as I watched so many people share our space, smile and laugh, and take part in spirited competition.
