If you are a fan of or support the continuance of the Orange County Fair, fairgrounds, speedway and associated events, PLEASE consider telling your County elected officials that you do not want to see it demolished to redevelop the property as commercial warehousing or a large-scale housing complex. Instead, let our County officials know that you would prefer to see the County or other entity boost the fairgrounds financially to allow it to continue to operate entertaining and amusing generations of Orange County residents and tourists...as it has for well over 100 years. Government funding is used all across the USA to subsidize sports arenas, stadiums and entertainment venues....why not here, in Orange County? Shouldn't our leaders consider that our little piece of "Americana" is in danger of being closed forever, obliterated by development of yet another warehouse or housing complex? The County residents deserve the consideration of preserving an important venue for sports, entertainment and social gathering.
