Our cast is preparing to take the stage with our production of “Annie” tonight and we are extra grateful while looking back at this video from 2020 💜. The MHS production of “Annie” was about to start their Tech Week when the world shut down, and our studio triple threats were so disappointed not to perform. We wanted to provide some fun at home activities for our dancers, so Mallory (who was one week from taking the stage as Annie at MHS), recorded a sing-along video of “Tomorrow” for our younger dancers to sing-along to. As fate would have it, Libby’s dad recorded her singing along, so we have this sweet video of our 2026 Annie! Libby’s oldest brother Link was supposed to take the stage as Rooster in the 2020 production, and now his younger brother, Legend, is in that role.
Our DBTE program did have a show in 2020 (“Newsies” outdoors at Wiles Branch Park)! So Mallory and Link DID get to perform that year. And notably, one of our DBTE seniors, Brynn, performed as Les in that show as her first DBTE production!
We’re all so grateful for the part theatre continues to play in our lives no matter the circumstances. We hope you’ll join us this weekend to celebrate this hard-working cast!
