De Bomb Squad 14u

Best of luck to all the former Bomb Squad players that are beginning high school baseball tryouts today. My thoughts and best wishes are with all of you.

With a final record of 23-5-1 this summer, these boys finished on top as the SaTB champions. This was our last season together and the boys will go in different direction...but 5, 10 or 20 years from now they won’t remember the championships or even our record, but they will remember the bond we have, because it’s unbreakable.

15-2 this far this season. Undefeated in pool play...team era of 2.24 team batting average of
343...these boys are rolling...hoping things continue tomorrow. Great job boys...keep grinding!

Happy Father’s Day to all the Bomb Squad dad’s!

This weekend our boys went 4-1 and came up a little short in the championship game at the Ripken Father’s Day tournament. We are 9-2 on this young season in two tournaments...we have two championship game appearances and one championship.

The Next Gen Bomb Squad are bringing home the championship trophy from SaTB. 4-0 on the weekend. Great team effort by the boys. We missed Christian this weekend but these 10 kids battled and would not be denied!

We are seeking dedicated players to compliment a talented roster for the upcoming 14U season. We play highly competitive tournaments and our primary goal is developing early High School player skill sets. Our 13U spring/summer record was 32-14-1.

A highlight of or team philosophy:
1) Teach the players how to play the game the right way
2) To be positive role models for players during successful times and, most importantly, during times of failure.

Focusing on competitive regional tournaments (SaTB, Ripken-Aberdeen, MSI, Perfect Game)

Partnership with NeXT GENERATION SPORTS that provides additional instruction, state-of the art indoor facility and practice field availability.

We are a Non-for-Profit team with full 501(c)(3) tax designation

Tryouts will be scheduled based on interest and individually arranged. We only have 1-2 roster spots to fill, so we are looking for the right fit (player and family).

What a tournament. 5-0 on the weekend. Played 3 today. 1st game we were down 6-1 and came back to win 7-6. In the semi’s we were down 5-1 and walked away with a 6-5 win. Finally in the chip we were down 5-0 and came back again to win 6-5.

Boys battled and never gave up all day. I couldn’t be more proud of their effort.

Excited to announce the Delaware Bomb Squad will partner with Next Generation Sports. They are possibly the most talented 13u team in Delaware! The future is bright!

A baseball season goes by quick, and I haven’t done a good job of keeping this account updated with how the team has been doing. While I’m extremely proud of our 20-10 record so far this season, I am even more proud of the memories the boys bare making along the way. A tic-tac-toe game during a rain delay with the other team and especially buddy night when they supported a local Little League Challenger Division are just two of the non-baseball memories that will stick with them for years to come (see pics). We will end up playing about 50 games this spring/summer which is a lot of game experience to aid in their development and prepare them for High School baseball but it’s the memories of friendship and sportsmanship that I hope carries a deeper message for them as they become young men...❤️
