First, let me say that I do not like to work out, but as a senior citizen, I know that physical exercise is an important element in maintaining my health and staying active. The Steel City Fitness staff and members are so friendly, encouraging and helpful that they make my time at the gym enjoyable. The membership is diverse and ranges from high schoolers to seniors who have various levels of athletic ability. Steel City’s environment is such that it is not intimidating even if the member next to you is young enough to be your grandchild and is lifting weights ten times more than you. In fact, on more than one occasion, a younger member has offered to help when he saw that I was having difficulty setting up a piece of equipment.
Working out at the same time of the day, you start to recognize faces and make new friends which make workouts fun and interesting. I really enjoy coming to Steel City Fitness. It has become an important part of my weekly routine.
