Island Time Charters

Island Time is back to her home for the next 5 months. Already getting busy out there with slot fish being taken from Beavertail to Fall River.

My First Mate picked up her first ever Weakfish aka Squeteague this warm morning on the bay.

Went out this morning to do a bit of fishing with my First Mate and enjoy some beautiful weather on the bay. She quickly picked up a couple of nice “Keeper” Sea Bass for dinner. Just another nice day on the bay with Island Time. Have a great weekend everyone!

We kept Island Time in her slip this morning and headed to BI to do a little fishing. Do you know what you get when fishing around Block Island? You get Bass over 40” - which must be released. However; we did do well on Sea Bass and Scup when we weren’t dealing with monster Blue Fish. Thanks to Captain Rick St Germain for putting us on the fish!

Still some nice “slot” Bass in the bay. Picked this “keeper” up fishing top-waters early this morning.

Ran into near countless Bass feeding on the surface as well as below, but they were very finicky. Finally, we zeroed in on the lure they would take and we picked up a few. Eventually , my first mate got her first keeper of the year.  

Headed out early to pick up some bait and finished the morning with boating this little guy.

The weather this weekend kept us tied to the dock but that didn’t stop us from finding fish from shore.

My 1st Mate was busy this morning. She boated 3 Bass and a Bluefish. 2 were keepers at 29 & 34”. All from casting around some of the many fishy areas around Newport.

With the hot, dog days of August upon us, the summer doldrums slows down the Striped Bass fishing. That reality didn’t keep my first mate from boating her share of fish today!

Decided to try a much much smaller boat to chase some “Schoolie” action in Ninigret pond this morning.
