Are you passionate about youth development, teamwork, and making a splash in the community?

Lakota Family YMCA is now hiring Assistant Swim Coaches and Senior Group Assistant/Age Group Coaches for the upcoming season in Liberty Township, OH!
This is your chance to coach with purpose, support young athletes, and grow professionally in a supportive YMCA environment rooted in our values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

✨ What You’ll Do:
✅ Lead daily swim practices and help shape season training plans
✅ Coach swimmers in a fun, inclusive, and competitive setting
✅ Attend meets and build team spirit
✅ Be a role model while developing skills that last a lifetime

🎯 What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Passion for swimming and youth development
✔️ Strong leadership and communication skills
✔️ Experience in coaching or competitive swimming (preferred)
✔️ Must be 18+ with ability to complete lifeguard/CPR certifications

🌊 Meet Dean: A Lakota Stingray with the Heart of a Champion! 🏊‍♂️💙

At the Lakota Family YMCA, we believe in the power of community—and there’s no better example than one of our own Stingray swimmers, Dean Schaeffer.

Dean isn’t just a passionate swimmer who thrives in the pool with his amazing teammates—he’s also courageously living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a rare genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Despite the daily treatments, medications, and challenges that come with CF, Dean continues to dive in headfirst, inspiring everyone around him with his determination and smile. 💪✨

🏊‍♂️ Swimming isn't just Dean’s favorite sport—it’s also incredibly beneficial for people with CF, helping improve lung function and overall health. We’re beyond proud to support Dean, his sister Nora, and the entire Schaeffer family in their journey.

This year, Dean’s family and friends are once again rallying together as “Dean’s CF Destroyers” for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides Walk on May 17, 2025, at Sawyer Point Park in downtown Cincinnati.

Bring your decorated Trunk, candy, and treats, and help us create an unforgettable Halloween celebration for our community. We can't Trunk or Treat without you! 🍬🎉

Registration for the upcoming Stingrays season is now open. Even if you are a returning family you still need to register.
