The September Steel Challenge match usually held on the 26th is cancelled because after Paper & Iron the Match Director is tired. It will resume in October on the 24th after he has returned to a normal sleep schedule, cleaned out all the guns/brass/coolers/etc. from his vehicle and done some yard work.

In the meantime, we will be having a USPSA match next Sunday the 27th. Contact James Jackson for details or see the link below. Thanks!

One match. Multiple shooting styles. Plenty of challenge.

Get ready for Paper & Iron, a unique match combining elements of Bianchi Cup, IPSC/USPSA and Steel Challenge, all with Time Plus Scoring.

Shooters can enter two divisions with separate entries, giving you even more ways to put your skills to the test.

September 17: Setup
September 18: RO Staff Shoot
September 19: Match Day
Match starts at 8 AM and ends at 4 PM

Whether you’re competing for the time, the score or just looking for a new challenge, Paper & Iron will fit the bill.

Next Saturday the 19th MSA will be hosting the Paper & Iron Championship at the R***e & Pistol Range. It’s open to PCCs, most centerfire handgun divisions and Rimfire R***e and Pistol. It’s a skills match so the stages are great for anyone from beginners to the skilled competitor with awards and a lot of giveaways.

The Permian Basin IDPA Club Match is every second Saturday of the month, this month it will be happening on September 12.

IDPA combines practical shooting skills with simulated real-world self-defense scenarios, using equipment you could actually carry or use for personal protection. It's a chance to put your skills and quick-thinking to the test.

We’re a month out for Paper & Iron 2026 at the R***e & Pistol range.
Lots of prizes and even more trophies. We now have a Concealed Optics/Concealed Irons sponsored by Hellhound Arms with a dedicated trophy. There will be Championship Cups for PCC, Rimfire R***e, Rimfire Pistol, Centerfire Pistol and Revolver. It’ll be a great time!
