Practice is in full swing ... and high school football is in week #2! Which local team are you supporting?

Clarification on practices starting August 24:
• Practices times/dates/locations are set for each team by their coach. Not all teams will necessarily practice on Monday.
• Practices for tackle divisions are limited to 3 days a week.
• Kindergarten flag "learners" program has NO practices outside of Saturday morning sessions starting Sept 12. The first four weeks take a "learn to play" approach on-field with the actual games the final two weeks.

Last-chance equipment pickup: Sunday, August 23, 7 pm @ the MAYFL equipment shed!

Reminder: Equipment handout (prep & junior tackle) is tonight and tomorrow, August 16 & 17, 7-9 pm at the MAYFL equipment shed on the southeast side of the Dow High athletic fields.

(Flag players will receive any necessary equipment from their coaches. Nouvel players will receive their equipment from their team and do not need to attend this session.)

Midland Area Youth Football League is looking for additional volunteers to help us provide a great experience for hundreds of local athletes and families.

We're currently seeking help with:
✅ Equipment handout
✅ Field lining before the season and throughout the fall
✅ Game day support – especially clock/scoreboard operators
✅ General league operations
✅ Flag football coaches (limited openings may still be available)

You don't need football experience to help. Whether you can volunteer a few hours or commit to a larger role. Every helping hand makes a difference.

Sign ups for the 2026 season are now closed. No new registrations are being accepted. Registered players' families should be receiving notification shortly of team placement with more details. Let's get fired up for football! 🏈
