WTX Bombers 8’s

I have been coaching for a minute now…. And these two games were two of the most intense and fun games I’ve ever been able to witness. It was like family decided to just do it the Bomber way for 3 hours and let the chips fall where they may. We lost the first one…. The second one started out rough… We got down but these kids kept fighting! Kylie Gentile pitched a great first half of game one and hit a laser out of the park!! KK Gonzales pitched a solid second half of game 1 and game 2 to keep us in the fight. We clawed and fought to stay in the game.. Time expired finish the inning… we were down by 2… Shannon Anuskewicz stepped up and had a huge AB… sending one about 230’ into right field to narrow the gap to 1…. Down 1… 1 out.. Alicia Gutierrez up to the plate… I believe it was 2-2 or full… Talks to Coach Josh for a sec… next pitch.. 💥 220’ shot to left center field to tie the game… we put a few more on and Jaylee Johnson comes up to the plate sitting with 2 strikes and ropes one to right center gap… HUGE AB and drove in 3 to give us the lead once and for all. Very well played game and those 11’s gave us all we could handle. Appreciate the competition and who better to compete with than family!

Very very proud of these young ladies! Came out today and handled business! We did stumble in the semi’s losing 13-8. Coach Josh and myself challenged them and they responded in a massive way!!! Winning the 1st game of the championship 17-3 and the IF game 17-4 (I think)! This team finished the weekend with 11 yes 11 long balls!!! What a weekend! Fortunate to be a part of it!

When we first decided to do this we did it with one thing in mind. Get these girls quality reps and have them step into summer without missing a beat! I have been fortunate enough to meet some great kids and some great coaches through this and to see this group come out and fight their way to a 2nd place finish this past weekend puts a smile on my face! Congrats on a great weekend and congrats to Essence Willis on hitting 3 bombs this weekend! Keep grinding and let’s finish this spring strong!

Let’s goooo!! Big weekend in Midland! Come out and watch these kids get after it! I honeslty believe some of these young ladies will turn some heads and get on some radars! I know the first time I saw them play….. I was BLOWN AWAY!! If you aren’t busy come out and enjoy the show! They are different!
