đ Cosby Girls Lacrosse: 5-Time 6A Regional Champions! đ
The Cosby Titans girls lacrosse team has done it again claiming their fifth 6A Regional Championship title! In a battle that tested every ounce of their strength and strategy, the Titans rose to the challenge against a tough, talented Deep Run team. Knowing it wouldnât be easy, the girls leaned on their unity, grit, and trust in one another.
Since their last matchup with Deep Run in April, the Titans have grown not just in skill, but in cohesion. Theyâve become a stronger, more connected unit, grounded in the core values of Coach John Woodenâs Pyramid of Success: from friendship and loyalty to industriousness, poise, and competitive greatness. Every level of that pyramid has been lived out on and off the field by this remarkable group of young women.
This season brought a wave of changes new roles, shifting dynamics, and the constant demand to adapt. Yet, through it all, the Titans responded not just with effort, but with dedication, grace, and a resilience that speaks volumes about their character.
The bonds between these players run deep. They are teammates, but more than that, they are titans bound by respect, trust, and a shared purpose. Whether in practice huddles or post-game hugs, that connection is clear and itâs a key part of what drives their success.
Letâs keep this momentum rolling as we head into States! The journey isnât over, but this team is ready. Letâs go, Titans! đđ„đ„

Senior Night 2025 â Titan Cosby Girls Lacrosse
Senior Night may have been a couple of Fridays ago, but weâre holding onto it as long as we can. Because when you have 11 seniors like ours, one night just isnât enough.
These girls have given everything to this program time, heart, hustle, and love. Theyâve led with grit, lifted each other through the hard moments, and celebrated every win with true Titan pride. Their leadership and example will be felt long after the final whistle.
Weâre still soaking it in because this group deserves to be celebrated again and again. To our seniors: thank you for your strength, your spirit, and your loyalty to the Titan Team. Once a Titan, always a Titan.

This season marks the fourth year our lacrosse program has incorporated John Woodenâs Pyramid of Success.
At the start of the season, Coach Chip reintroduced the Pyramid to our varsity and JV teams. Each block represents an essential quality not just for athletes, but for anyone striving for excellence. Our seniors took ownership of this project. Each one selected a block, took time to understand it, and then shared its meaning and importance with the team.
Block by block, our seniors spoke with heart and purpose, relating each trait back to their game and lives off the field.
âą Hard Work: isnât just about practice it was about showing up in every aspect of life.
âą Friendship: taught the importance of loyalty and trust both on and off the field.
âą Self-Control: reminded the team to stay composed through the highs and lows.
âą Team Spirit: showed that sacrificing for the good of the group makes the whole stronger.
âą Poise and Confidence: helped to play with pride and face challenges with courage.
Each block broken down by our seniors, each lesson demonstrated by our players on the field. Itâs more than just building a team; itâs building people of character.
We are proud of the work the team has done but we know the journey isnât over yet. We still have five games left to show everything weâve learned. Letâs finish strong, together.
One Team, One Pyramid, One Goal.

Team Bonding Thursday was a blast!
Varsity kicked off the day with their very own Olympics. Each captain leading a team through the challenges. Congrats to Livâs team for taking home the win!
Our Color Wars competition rolled on with a photo scavenger hunt, and after a lot of laughs and creativity the coaches put their heads together and named Team Black the winners of the scavenger hunt based on creativity and ex*****on.
White has a chance to lead once again with a tug-of-war challenge best 2 out of 3 which Team Black won. However, after reviewing attendance, weâre officially scratching tug-of-war results from Thursdayâs scoring. (Donât worry a new tug of war challenge is coming soon!)
Color War Standings
White-1
Black-1
YOU can help decide which team gets an extra point â head over to our stories and vote for the team you think had the best and most creative scavenger hunt pictures!
Letâs keep the competition rolling!

âïž #26 Katelyn Trickettâïž
Katelyn joined the lacrosse program as a beginner in 10th grade, starting out on JV. From day one, she brought a determination and work ethic that set her apart. Through dedication, extra reps, and a drive to improve, she earned her spot as a starting defender on varsity. Her natural athleticism and competitive spirit made her a force to be reckoned with on the fieldâsmart, aggressive, and always locked in.
But Katelynâs impact isnât just in her defensive playsâitâs in her energy. Whether sheâs on the field or on the sideline, sheâs the first one cheering, hyping up her teammates, and bringing the spirit that makes this team feel like family.
Beyond lacrosse, Katelyn is a true student-athlete. A four-year member and 2024 captain of the varsity swim team, member of the National Honor Society, Science and Art National Honor Societies, Varsity Club, and moreâshe leads by example in everything she does. Sheâs also earned over 100 volunteer hours, coaching youth lacrosse and giving back at the Chesterfield Food Bank, all while holding down a job as a server.
This fall, Katelyn will head to the University of Tampa to study either Forensic Science or Sports Nutrition, and thereâs no doubt sheâll continue to do amazing things.
Weâre so proud of you, Katelyn! Thank you for giving your heart to this team.
