Well deserved Coach! Thank you Coach for all you do!
Coaching flag football, our littlest Huskies, is no small task. It takes patience, consistency, energy, and a whole lot of heart. Coach Booker brings all of that and more every single time he steps onto the field.
He teaches the fundamentals of the game, from running the ball to pulling a flag, but what makes Coach Booker so special is that his coaching goes far beyond football. He teaches his athletes how to listen, how to work together, how to respect their coaches, and most importantly, how to respect one another as teammates. The lessons he is instilling in these kids now are the kind that will stay with them long after their flag football days are over.
Coach Booker has been part of our program for several years as an assistant coach, always willing to step in, help where needed, and give his time to our athletes. This season, he stepped into the Head Coach role, and he has truly embraced it. Watching him take ownership of his team, lead with confidence, and pour himself into these kids has been incredible.
Coach Booker may be tough. He may expect a lot from his athletes. But behind those expectations is a coach who believes in them, wants the best for them, and knows they are capable of more than they sometimes realize. He holds them accountable because he cares. He pushes them because he wants to see them grow. And he celebrates their progress every step of the way.
At this age, these kids are learning so much more than a sport. They are learning what it means to be part of a team, to show respect, to keep trying, and to believe in themselves. Coach Booker is helping build that foundation.
Coach Booker, thank you for the time, patience, hard work, and heart you give to our youngest Huskies. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and the impact you are making reaches far beyond the football field.
