💣 BOMBER LEGENDS 💣

🏆 1990 & 1991

BACK-TO-BACK DUAL STATE CHAMPIONS

Before the banners, before the packed gyms, before the generations of Bomber wrestlers who followed…

There were teams that set the standard.

The 1990 Midwest City Bombers battled their way to the Oklahoma Class 5A Dual State Championship.

Then they came back the following year and did it again.

🏆 1990 — Class 5A Dual State Champions
🏆 1991 — Class 5A Dual State Champions

BACK. TO. BACK.

These teams represented everything Midwest City wrestling has always stood for:

💪 Toughness
🔥 Discipline
⚔️ Relentless competition
🤝 Team over self
🏆 Championship expectations

Winning one championship is special.

Coming back the next year and proving it wasn’t a fluke is something completely different.

The 1990 and 1991 Bombers helped establish a standard that continues to live in the Midwest City wrestling room today.

They didn’t just win championships.

They built a legacy.

I can’t tell you how excited I am for our first official day of practice!

A new season means a fresh opportunity. New goals. New challenges. New memories. And most importantly, a chance for us to find out just how good we can become when we commit to doing things the right way every single day.

This season is going to take discipline, toughness, accountability, and sacrifice. We’re going to work hard, we’re going to be uncomfortable, and there will be days when it’s not easy. But those are the days that will make us better.

I believe in this group, and I believe we have something special in front of us. But potential doesn’t win matches — work does.

From the first whistle of practice to the final match of the season, our goal is to build something we can be proud of. We’re going to focus on the basics, develop our skills, push each other, and create a team that refuses to break when things get tough.

Enjoy today. Embrace the grind. Hold your teammates accountable. And remember — every day is an opportunity to get 1% better.

The season is here

Mark your calendars! The season will be here before we know it and need your help and support! Let’s go Bombers!

BOMBER LEGENDS | WILLIE GUNTER

Some wrestlers have a great season.

Some leave a legacy.

Willie Gunter left a legacy.

A Midwest City Bomber, Gunter became a three-time Oklahoma Class 5A State Champion, winning titles at 103 lbs in 2006, 112 lbs in 2007 and 119 lbs in 2008.

In 2008, Gunter helped lead the Bombers to a Class 5A State Championship, finishing his high-school career with his third individual state title.

But his success went beyond Oklahoma. He was ranked No. 20 nationally at 112 pounds by Wrestling U.S.A., placed at national-level freestyle and Greco-Roman events, and earned Oklahoma All-State honors.

He went on to wrestle for the University of Central Oklahoma, where he made an immediate impact as a freshman.

3× STATE CHAMPION.
NATIONAL RANKING.
ALL-STATE
BOMBER.

Our Midwest City high school, wrestling es**rt and Princess Easton Hill and Brenna Duzan I’m super proud of these two kids who represented Midwest City wrestling over these years and in the last two years, I’ve got to see these kids, not only represent us in the wrestling room, but represent us also in the hallways, classroom and the community they wear the bomber logo with pride and excellence. Easton has been our team captain this season and he is really pushing his team to get better on and off the mat and is looking to have a really promising season. Brenna is one of our team managers, and she has always kept a good attitude and been eager to help our Wrestlers in any way she can She has also played a very key role in training our younger team managers so that she leaves the team in good hands. These two are going to be amazing young adults contributing to the world and I’m so excited to see where they go and how far they go in this life. Go Bombers‼️
