The studio may be closed, but enrollment is ALWAYS open!

We left Bonita in charge of answering the phones and watching the trophies… and honestly… we’re a LITTLE concerned. 😭

She’s been sitting a little too close to that hardware for our liking. Bonita, girl, YOU ARE HERE TO PROTECT THE TROPHIES, NOT ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION!

While our dancers enjoy a little fall break, we’re already looking forward to welcoming new faces to our TDDC family.

🍂 FALL BREAK REMINDER! 🍂

TDDC will have NO dance classes October 12–16. Classes resume Monday, October 19!

Our dancers attend schools across several districts with different fall break schedules, so attendance is typically low throughout the week. We take the full week off so everyone can rest, recharge, and enjoy their break! ❤️

But keep those dance shoes handy—holiday fun is coming! 🎉 We’ll kick off Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks with ALL-STUDIO celebrations filled with dancing, crafts, and fun!

🦃 November 23 • 5:30–7:30 PM
“Thankful, Shakeful & a Little Bit Grateful!”
Studio closed November 24–27.

🎄 December 21 • 5:30–7:30 PM
“Jingle, Mingle & Bust a Move!”
Studio closed December 22–January 3.
Classes resume January 4, 2027.

“What’s your favorite thing about TDDC?”

And honestly… their answers say it all. 🥹❤️

It’s the friendships.
The confidence.
The teachers.
The performances.
The memories.
The feeling of finding a place where you belong.

And sometimes… it’s just getting to dance with your best friends. 🥰

That’s what makes The Dance Department more than just a place to take dance classes. It’s a community. It’s a family. It’s a place where our dancers can grow, find their voice, challenge themselves, and make memories they’ll carry with them long after they leave the studio.

We may teach dance… but what happens beyond the choreography is pretty special.

To our TDDC dancers: thank you for reminding us why we do what we do. 🥹❤️

And to our dance parents—thank you for trusting us with your babies and allowing us to be part of their journey.

✨ FUN FACT FRIDAY! ✨

If you’ve ever spent time in a dance studio, you already know these four numbers VERY well…

5… 6… 7… 8!

But have you ever stopped to wonder… WHY do we count that way?

Dance choreography is often built around 8-count phrases, which helps dancers connect their movements to the music, remember choreography, and stay together as a group. 🎶

So when your teacher calls out:

“5… 6… 7… 8…”

…it’s basically your little warning that IT’S TIME TO GO!

But around here, we all know there’s another phrase that usually comes first…

“LAST TIME!” 👀

And when you hear Ms. Shelby say:

“LAST TIME… 5… 6… 7… 8!”

BABY. 😂
YOU BETTER HIT THAT CHOREO!

Because that “5-6-7-8” means it’s time to give it EVERYTHING you’ve got!

Now dancers, we have to know…

How many times do you think you’ve heard “5-6-7-8” in your dance career?

And if you’ve had Ms. Shelby yell “LAST TIME!” at you… you already know.

Bring those study sheets back, show Miss Shelby or Miss Delaney what you know, and let’s see who can EARN THAT POPSICLE for their ride home! 🍧🎉

This week, September 28–October 1, our TDDC dancers get to bring a friend to class!

Because everything is more fun with your bestie… especially when you get to do choreography together!

✨ No dance experience needed
✨ No dance clothes or shoes required
✨ Just wear something comfortable and come ready to MOVE!
✨ Friends should attend a class appropriate for their age
✨ And YES — you can absolutely bring more than one friend!

Maybe your bestie has always wanted to try dance. Maybe you need someone new to practice with. Maybe you just want moral support when your teacher says, “Okay, one more time!” for the 14th time. 😂

Whatever the reason — BRING 👏 THEM 👏 WITH 👏 YOU!

We cannot wait to meet all of our dancers’ favorite people this week! 💜🪩
