Congratulations to the winners of the poker run which was held March 14th. The 50/50 raffle was won by Donna, 3rd place-Krista, 2nd place-Kandra, and 1st place Kenny. Thank You to all those who came out to support the local snowmobile club.

Snowmobile Trails are CLOSED for the season. Trail signs have started to be removed. We do have an upcoming meeting Monday April 6th at 7pm at the VFW in Milbank if you have concerns or want to be involved please join us. Again the TRAIL IS CLOSED!

Snow, Rain or Shine the Poker Ride will go on. Saturday March 14th at the Big Stone Legion. All hands must be drawn by 6pm. You can pick up a card at any of the Associate members listed on the sheet at noon-Gunslingers, Twin Brooks-The Wharf, Big Stone Lake-Whetstone Valley Saloon, Wilmot-SoDak Shores, Big Stone Lake-Shady Beach, Big Stone Lake- VFW, Milbank- Lancers, Wilmot-Pump 2.0, Milbank-Wildlife, Corona-The Lakes One Stop, Big Stone City-Big Stone Legion, Big Stone City.

Remember: South Dakota Snowmobile Trails open December 15th.

We will be out with the Sno-Cat before the official opening on different sections of the trail knocking down cattails and weeds. We won’t be pulling the drag until the 15th so bear with us there will be hazards and rough spots until we can get a pass or two with the drag. The ground is freezing and if we get even a little snow here and there it looks like we will be able to start building some base on the trail and have a great season ahead of us. As always ride safe and respect private property.

With all this recent snow so early in the year we want to remind you that all east river snowmobile trails including the approximately 70 miles of Whetstone Valley Trails officially open December 15th. Our club members worked hard at getting the trail signed and the groomer ready before the weather changed. Please remember when riding in town to take the most direct route to and from where you are going. Be mindful of private property. We look forward to more snow and good year of snowmobiling. If you are interested in joining our local club to help keep our trail along with state and national areas open to riding we meet the first Monday of each month at the VFW in Milbank, SD at 7pm.

Poker Ride is still on tomorrow (though trails are closed). Starts @ noon!

Our Annual Poker Ride is happening March 1, with or without snow! We'll be posting details in the next day or two right here!
