[video in the comments] Does anybody remember the old Snag Proof fishing lure company? I was recently invited to tour the vintage Snag Proof production factory in Blue Ash, Ohio before everything was removed. I made a little mini-documentary on this Ohio-based lure company out of Cincinnati that was famous for revolutionizing the snag proof frog and other weedless lures. They gifted me all kinds of molds and lures, I even took a couple of them out and caught a couple bass! Anyway, I though a lot of local Cincy and Ohio anglers would be interested in this important part of Cincinnati and bass fishing history!

Celebrating seven years of making fishing videos, let's see how many smallmouth we can catch from this Cincinnati lake.

Seven freakin' years!?!?!?! 😱 THE FISHING REPORT: Smallies were hitting hellgrammite lures and smaller soft-plastic swimbaits (specifically Rapala CrushCity Mayor Soft Plastic Paddle Tail Swimbaits) up near the bank. I used a 7' Light-Fast BFS custom-made rod by my favorite rod builder Jeff Byrd from Little Miami Rods with a DAIWA PX BF TW 70 BFS Reel. Strung it up with nothing but 6lb Daiwa J-Fluoro fluorocarbon. We had significant amount of sunshine with warming afternoon temperatures (66–75°F). The moon phase was waning gibbous, approximately 95% illuminated, two days after the full moon. Estimated water temperatures were 64–70°F.

We start off fishing the Ohio River near downtown Cincinnati for smallmouth and spotted bass before joining B B Outdoors Angling in the Little Miami River as he adds three more new species to his list as he continues to try catching every species in Ohio.
