Update: Brian is home.
Since rehab was denied by insurance, it was decided he can do it there. He is still tired and weak but surrounded by what he loves the most.
If he doesn't answer, please know he will. He is just super weak but not for long. 😉😉

Another good update:

Brian is graduating from the ICU and going to a step down floor!! He is so excited! He can eat a normal diet now

Still have more progress to make with getting up and moving again, but small victories are the best! He is most likely going to go to an acute care facility to complete physical therapy, but his discharge date has not been discussed

Brian update
Vent tube is out.
They are slowly weaning him off the sedation medicine and he does have a long road but every victory is a huge step.
He doesn't know that the wedding had to be postponed or the amount of time he's been in the hospital so they do expect him to be confused for a few days.

Update on Brian.
No big updates today but still trending in the right direction . We are on Brian time right now. They adjusted his antibiotics per the infectious disease doctor. They are taking off his paralytic to see how he does on just sedation. Vent will be a couple of more days
Laying on his back almost all day, decide in a few hours if they move him on his stomach
Yes, the first thing he will want is a haircut. I gave him a comb over today, he would hate it. Lol

Update on Brian:

Report from the nurse: he is doing good!! He is on 60% O2 on the ventilator and his SAT’s are doing good. No temp right now (waiting to see when the last time he had a fever was). They are putting him back on his belly at 12pm, which means he will have been on his back for 8 hours and maintaining good stable vitals. They consulted with infectious disease yesterday just to make sure he is on the right antibiotic, to target both the sepsis and pneumonia. Infectious disease is just waiting on paperwork from Wayne Memorial.

All steps in the right direction, keep praying for him! 🙏🏻

Update on Brian.
So putting him on his stomach made his stats improve so they're going to flip him back over on his stomach today again for 20 hours. We will take baby steps anyway we can

Update on Brian
Brian is still critical but stable. The next 14 hours are very important and will help determine the next steps in his treatment. He’s fighting hard — and we’re holding onto that strength.
Thank you all for the support, prayers, and messages. We truly appreciate every single one. We apologize if we’ve missed a text or two; things are moving quickly and we’re doing our best to keep everyone updated.
We’ll share more as soon as we know more.

Update on Brian and Brittany's wedding

Brian and Brittany’s wedding has been postponed
Earlier this week, Brian fell ill and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday. His condition continued to decline, so he was transferred to Danville, where he is now in critical but stable condition. He’s exactly where he needs to be and is receiving the highest level of care.Thank you for all the support, prayers, and kindness

Jimmy would have been so humbled by today’s induction into the Hall of Fame.

It wasn’t just an honor — it was a reminder of how deeply he shaped everyone around him. Thank you to Frank Bush and his team for putting together a reunion that didn’t just celebrate racing, but celebrated the people who made it meaningful.

Who could have imagined that a simple pizza date would become the beginning of something so extraordinary? Twenty‑six years later — even after cancer took him from us — Jimmy’s impact is still felt every single day.The lessons he passed to Nick and Brian didn’t stop with them. They’re being carried forward to Bentley and Luke, forming a bridge between generations. Two generations of Mady Brothers Racing would have been possible only because of him.

His influence didn’t fade; it multiplied.Jimmy’s legacy isn’t just remembered — it’s lived.
