Member of the month!!! Claudia!!!
Claudia is so much fun to coach! She works hard every time she steps into the gym and truly values quality movement. Between work and keeping up with her boys' busy soccer schedules, she makes the most of every opportunity to get to class. We're proud to help her see just how strong and athletic she is and to support her journey toward moving well and feeling great for years to come.
Way to go, Claudia!!!
RxFitness and Health
Our goal is to bring Functional Medicine, Exercise and Nutrition into focus
If your fitness routine has taken a backseat this summer, now is the perfect time to reset before schedules get even busier.
Let us help you build healthy habits before life gets hectic. By starting now, you'll head into the school year with more energy, less stress, and momentum already on your side.
- Schedule your workouts like appointments
- Start with realistic goals
- Focus on consistency, not perfection
- Make this time for YOU
Remember: You don't need to be all ready to be in shape to start... you just need to start.
Let's make the transition into fall your strongest one yet!
Why do we sometimes hesitate over a gym membership but spend a similar amount on a night out without much thought?
Both are important! Creating memories is necessary... but so is our health.
Maybe it's worth looking at fitness differently... not as an expense but as an investment in your overall health, strength, and future.
With consistent exercise, we're not just getting older but stronger, healthier, and more capable along the way.
We're talking about the ability to keep saying "yes" to the things you love. To have the energy to do more. To stay active, confident, and independent.
What's one thing you want to still be doing ten, twenty years from now?
We believe fitness should be accessible to everyone... regardless of age, experience, injuries, or current fitness level.
That’s why modifying movements to fit your individual abilities isn’t just an option here, it’s a priority.
Too often, people think they need to be able to do everything exactly as written to be successful.
The truth is, real success comes from consistently showing up, working at your level, and progressing over time.
Every modification has a purpose, and every person deserves a plan that helps them move safely and confidently toward their goals.
One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is watching our members grow. We see people who once doubted themselves build strength, gain confidence, and accomplish things they never thought possible... all because they embraced the process and trusted that scaling isn't a step backward, it's a stepping stone forward.
Your fitness journey is uniquely yours! We’re here to help you find the version of each workout that challenges you, supports you, and keeps you moving toward success.
How we age isn’t entirely up to chance! At 69 years old, this retired teacher is doing something many people, and even those half her age wouldn't attempt... climbing a 15-foot rope.
Aging is inevitable, but frailty is not.
Every workout, every healthy choice, every time we challenge ourselves, we're casting a vote for the future version of us. Strength, balance, mobility, and confidence can all be trained at any age.
This isn't about being the youngest in the room. It's about staying capable, independent, and ready for life's challenges.
The question isn't "How old are you?"
The question is, "What are you capable of today?"
Cardio supports heart health and endurance. Strength training primarily builds and preserves muscle, strengthens bones, and helps you stay capable as you age.
When you consistently challenge your muscles, you:
- Build stronger bones and joints
- Improve balance, coordination, and stability
- Make everyday tasks feel easier
- Maintain the strength you'll rely on as you age
The best fitness plan doesn't choose one or the other, It includes both.
We're here to help you train for the life you want to live, not just the workout you're doing today!
Think of it it like a quick workout = half a day of being a calmer human.
So if you’re feeling cranky, stressed, or one email away from losing it, come sweat it out with awesome people instead of snapping in the group chat.
At RxFitness, we don’t just lift weights, we lift spirits, too!
Your body gets stronger, your brain gets happier, and your group chat is safe.
See you at RxFitness, where the only thing getting heavier is the weights (not your mood)!
Easing into group fitness doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. There are simple ways to make it a positive, confidence-building experience.
Here are some great ways to get started:
- Arrive early & meet the coach
Getting there a few minutes early lets you introduce yourself, ask questions, and feel more comfortable in the space before things get going.
- Pick a spot that feels right
Standing near the back or side can help you follow along at your own pace without feeling like all eyes are on you.
- Focus on your own pace
Remember you don’t have to match anyone else. Modify movements, take breaks, and listen to your body. Progress comes from consistency, not perfection.
- Bring a friend (but know you'll make new ones!)
Having a familiar face can ease nerves, and group fitness is a great place to build a supportive community over time.
- Stay consistent, not perfect
The first few classes might feel unfamiliar—and that’s totally normal. Give yourself time to adjust and build confidence.
- Start it with guidance
At RxFitness requires 'elements' classes to help you learn proper form, build a plan, and walk into group classes feeling prepared and confident.
- Remember: Group fitness is meant to support you, not stress you. Start where you are, go at your pace, and let it grow into something you enjoy.
