本日より師範錬士会です。

「密かに愚案を巡らして、ほぼ古今を勘ふるに、先師の口伝の真信に異なることを歎き、後学相続の疑惑あることを思ふ。幸に有縁の知識に依らずば、いかでか易行の一門に入ることを得んや。全く自見の覚悟を以て、他力の宗旨を乱れる事なかれ。」

錬士会の開始にあたり「歎異抄」の序文の一部を引用します。いつの時代、いかなる分野においても真傳を紡ぐのは容易なことではありません。
　
先人の苦労に思いを馳せつつ、稽古に臨みたいと思います。

Here are very rare photos that I have taken from the first edition of Shodai Soke Okuyama Ryuho's book: Kohō Shiatsu Chihō Gaku 皇法指圧治方学第. Most students of Hakko-ryu have the purple covered version of the book which is usually the 8th edition. In this later edition, all the original photos of Shodai Soke were replaced with the founder's son Toshio performing the treatment methods on his father.

The contents of the book begins with a preface that contains three themes Jobun Sandai 序文三題:
1. Shōrai Igaku no Senku 将来医学の先駆 (Pioneer of Future Medicine)
2. Yamu Hito no Tame no Igaku 病む人のための医学 (Medicine for the Sick)
3. Byōsha ni Totsute Makotoni Fukuin 病者にとつて誠に福音 (The Gospel or Good News for the Sick)

It is sad that most practitioners of Koho Shiatsu do not have access to an English translation of this very important manuscript...
