Baalor Sarr FC were crowned champions of the FF Cup after defeating AJ Soccers FC 4-2 in a post-match penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regulation time in a thrilling final encounter.

Suwaibou Camara gave AJ Soccers FC the lead in the 54th minute before David Jarjue restored parity for Baalor Sarr FC in the 68th minute to send the contest into penalties.

Goalkeeper Ousainou Sanneh emerged as the hero for Baalor Sarr FC, making two crucial saves during the shootout before stepping up to convert the decisive penalty and secure the title for his side.

Following their triumph, Baalor Sarr FC were presented with the championship trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D500,000.

Runners-up AJ Soccers FC received silver medals and a consolation prize of D300,000 in recognition of their impressive run to the final.

Semi-finalists The Gambia Ports Authority FC and Steve Biko FC also received D100,000 each for their performances in the competition.

The prize presentation officially brought the curtain down on another exciting FF Cup campaign, one that delivered memorable moments and ended with Baalor Sarr FC writing their name into the competition’s history books.
