Hot shot run to the Premier Mount N Trail Association show at Phoenix on Killian this morning! I showed Toby in hand one more time for the rest of this season. Harley tagged along which meant for lots of calling to each other but we pulled it together and got a 2nd out of 12 in the Green. That's Toby's personal best 🥰. The Open 1 was a bit more messy 🙈 the first run is never our best! We have had a great summer together and I'm really happy with how far he has come from that first night of practice on the course in July...

Just finished prepping and showing Checkers- a yearling AQHA gelding at the Buckeye Ranch Horse Futurity & Auction in their conformation class. He's by Hashtag Blues and out of a Peppy San Badger mare. He's a big kid with tons of bone.

So proud of his attitude handling the show environment! He constantly checked in and stayed with me. This was such a good experience for him and his foundation. He has a really bright future as a level headed mount! Thanks for sending him to us, Leroy Duncan !!!

We welcomed Kristina with Hudson's Tack and More for more saddle fittings! It was very illuminating as we went through all of my horses and tack and gave it a hard look. She's a smart lady and a hoot to be around! I look forward to how good my horses could really feel with well fitting saddles! ⭐️

It's always wonderful to visit with MK Horsemanship as well ❤️

This summer was one of the really good ones. The kind of summer that was only that way because of an enthusiastic and fun intern 🥹

This summer I was lucky to have Aubrie Olinger around for help in exchange for learning and boy did we hit all of the bases.

It was a full barn with plenty of variety. She helped with the daily chores and then there was lots of adventure, problem solving, and experience with the other practitioners that make this business go around.

She also got behind the camera and took all of those sale pics we posted this summer!!!!

She brought good energy and spirit to the rides and we enjoyed hauling around and trail riding. The day she said, "can I go canter around the field?" was the day I realized I wasn't quite that young anymore... lol! But having her around made training fun.

Thanks for everything, Aubrie!

P.s. they slushy machine at the Bellstores is STILL BROKEN!
