The short version of the name change, in five slides.

Nothing about your schedule, your crew or your number changes. The work we get asked for most has moved toward building the space rather than maintaining it, and the name now says that.

Part two — where it actually started.

I started Cypress Property Maintenance when I was 14. A pressure washer, and grandparents who drove me to jobs and came back to pick me up at the end of the day.

Once I got my license, that's where we really took off.

I'm 20 now, and everything since has been the same thing getting bigger. That's why the new name means more to me than a logo change.

Same guy. Same crew. New name.

Cypress Property Maintenance is now Kingstone Design and Build.

The name isn't random — my last name is King, and I wanted that part in there without it being obvious.

When I started I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. As the business grew, I found my passion really lived in designing and building outdoor spaces for people, not just maintaining them. So the name should say that.

We still love the landscaping side. There's just a lot more hardscaping coming.

Nothing means more than hearing from a happy client after the project is complete.

We have completed this paver patio in Dagsboro, Delaware, and we’re grateful she has taken the time to share her experience working with our team.

Throwback to this backyard transformation from July🪨

This project was all about creating a cleaner, more functional,and lower-maintenance outdoor space.

We installed approximately 205 sq. ft. of Unilock Treo Flagstone in Granite Fusion with a Dark Charcoal border, along with a custom drainage system beneath the patio tied into the existing downspout.

We also added a Unilock Square Sunset wood-burning fire pit in Sierra with a smokeless insert, 3/4" River Rock, black aluminum edging, and two vinyl privacy panels to help give the space more separation and privacy.

The end result is a backyard that feels more finished, more usable, and much easier to maintain.

Pool landscape transformation complete 🌿

We finished this space with Delaware blend river rock around the pool, a flagstone stepper walkway connecting the house to the pool area, and a low-maintenance mix of plantings throughout the beds.

The goal was to create a cleaner, more finished outdoor space that looks great while keeping maintenance simple.

The cheaper one is often digging four inches instead of ten. Same stones on top, same photo on day one. Ask both to put the depth in writing and the gap explains itself.

A little extra space can make a big difference.

For this project, we added a paver extension and landing, built a privacy wall to screen the AC unit and create a dedicated grilling area, and refreshed the adjacent landscape bed with Sky Pencil Hollies, Texas White decorative stone, and clean black aluminum edging.

A functional upgrade that ties everything together and gives the space a much more finished look.
