Good work in Kickboxing Fundamentals last night. 🥊

We spent time sharpening our combinations and learning how to create opportunities instead of waiting for them. Anybody can throw punches when things are going their way. The real skill is recognizing openings, making adjustments, and staying one step ahead of your opponent.

Every round is a conversation. The better you get at reading what's in front of you, the more answers you'll have when it matters.

Solid work from the team last night. On to the next one.

Momentum is a crazy thing. Most people quit before it has a chance to kick in.

One day of training won't change your life. One week probably won't either. But stack enough of those days together and all of a sudden you're moving different, thinking different, and carrying yourself different.

The secret isn't motivation. It's showing up. It's being consistent. It's doing the work when nobody's watching and trusting the process.

Keep stacking those days.💪🏾
We'll see you on the mats tomorrow. 🥋🔥

Just putting in honest work on the heavy bags and drilling punch and kick combinations until they start becoming second nature.

Everybody wants to be good. Everybody wants better cardio, sharper hands, harder kicks, and more confidence. The secret ain't a secret though. It's showing up. It's doing the work. It's coming back tomorrow and doing it again. Like always says, "Try every day." Let those days stack up and watch where you're at six months from now compared to where you are today.

One combo turns into a hundred reps. One class turns into a hundred classes. That's how progress happens. Brick by brick. Round by round. Day by day.

Good work from everybody that hit the mats tonight. Keep stacking. 🥊🔥

Tonight's Jiu-Jitsu class was all about turning one good position into the next. We started by working how to transition directly from a takedown into an armbar because if you're doing all that work to get somebody to the floor, you might as well collect interest on the investment. 😤

From there we got into our X-Guard series. We covered the fundamental get-up sweep, what to do when your training partner gets wise and tries to high-step out, turning that into a trip sweep, and then finishing up with the X-Guard push sweep. Different reactions, different answers. That's how you build a game instead of memorizing random moves.

Then it was time to see if that work actually sticks. Live training from X-Guard, positional rounds from Kesa Gatame, and we closed the night out with 3 minutes of flow rolling. No egos, no UFC contract on the line, just good work, good reps, and sharpening the tools.🤙🏾

Big congratulations to Gabe on his well-deserved promotion tonight. Promotions aren't about showing up when it's convenient. They're about consistency, improvement, and putting the time in when nobody's watching. Proud of the work you've put in, brother. Keep climbing. 👏🥋

Appreciate everybody who hit the mats tonight. The room keeps getting better because of the people in it. 🔥

Man, listen... Coach Soto had the squad putting that work in tonight. No-Gi class was packed with good rounds, good energy, and just enough suffering to remind everybody why Jiu-Jitsu is a lifelong relationship and not a weekend fling. 😂

A couple of us got Battle at the Beach on the radar this August in Wildwood, so the vibes are starting to shift. The cardio gets a little more serious. The rounds get a little longer. The excuses get a little quieter. You know how it goes.

It's been a minute since Jersey Kickboxing rolled deep and started collecting hardware, but I think it's time to get the band back together and remind folks we're still outside. Nobody's talking crazy. Nobody's guaranteeing anything. But if we keep stacking these days, don't be surprised if there's some new metal hanging around the academy come August. 🥇🥈🥉

Until then, keep showing up. Keep training. Keep getting better. The beach is waiting. 🏖️🥋💪🏾

Sunday Open Mat. 1:00 PM. 🥋

This is where you sharpen the tools.

Got a technique that's been giving you problems? Bring it. Want extra rounds? Pull up. Need to drill that sweep, pass, takedown, or submission until it finally clicks? This is the time. No class structure. No rush. Just mat time and good work.

And let's be real... sometimes life be life-ing. Sometimes you don't need a new technique, you just need to hit the mats, move around, get a few rounds in, and leave feeling better than when you walked through the door.

Whether you're chasing your next stripe, getting ready for competition, or just trying to be a little better than you were last week, Sunday's the spot.

1:00 PM. Jersey Kickboxing. Pull up and get some work. 🤙🏾
