The Hornets had a great 2-0 win over their friendly rivals EGSA. It’s great to see sportsmenship, skills progress, and of course the rainbow!!

Hornets have a competitive game on this beautiful day.

The Hornets started it off strong last night with their first SJ Cup win. The wind and rain seemed to fuel the girl’s energy level through the entire game. Coach’s couldn’t ask for anything more.

These girls have starting the season off strong. First SJ Cup game tonight at 7pm in Millville. Let’s hope the rain holds off.

Big congratulations on the Hornets flight championship!!! This has been a long season for these girls. The weather has thrown everything at them this season, including last night. With lighting delays the girls played a tough 0-0 nail biting game to hold the top spot. We are proud of how the kids came together as a team this season to finish 8-1-1.(last season 1-1-8). Looking forward to continue to watch them grow.

The Millville Pride U19 Girls Soccer Team accomplished the unimaginable this past Sunday, capturing their second consecutive USYS National Championship State Cup Title!

Taking on a talented FC COPA team in the finals the Pride once again proved it doesn't matter where you are from or what size club you play for, with heart, dedication and a team first approach.... anything is possible.

After a hard fought first half, Millville led 1-0. Once again showing that they are truly a second half squad, the Pride picked up their play, capitalized on set plays and poured on the pressure to finish the match with an impressive 4-0 victory over a COPA team that had not allowed more than two goals in well over a year. Sadie Drozdowski started the scoring, finishing off a loose ball in the box and was joined on the tally sheet by Mary Greco, Olivia Giordano and Jayme Sooy. Tanasia Stevenson added two assists both off of incredible throw-ins. The player of the match was certainly Pride keeper Becca Silipena who finished with 8 of the most amazing saves you will ever see.

As State Champions, Millville Pride will travel to West Virginia for the prestigious USYS Eastern Regional Tournament in June to face the best teams from the whole northeast. With parent-volunteer coaches and friends and family by their side, there is no limit to what this group of talented female athletes can accomplish.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the soccer moms out there. You sacrifice your time and energy. You hold it together week after week, except when the ref has a bad call or when told they forgot their cleats and you are a hour from home 😂. Thank you for all your support for the players and coaches(50% of the time).

Hornets didn’t come out on top but they played great. That’s all we can ask for on a beautiful weekend.
