North Georgia Thunder Softball

GA Fury Platinum Fisher is looking to add A-level players to our already strong roster to compete in USSSA, TopFlight and PGF tournaments. We will be a 2nd year 14U team with players, coaches and families focused on strong values, developing skills/character and competing at the highest levels.

The team is led by Coach Mooch Fisher, who is a former college softball player and has developed several top programs, including the Cambridge High School softball program. In addition, we have Coach Shawn Heraty, who has led various elite softball teams from 14U to 18U, developing multiple girls who have gone on to play at Division I colleges.

We will hold an open workout on Thursday, July 13th at 6:30 p.m. Please come at least 15 minutes early to register and be ready at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

The North Georgia Thunder ‘09 softball team will be holding trying tryouts. This team is an elite group of athletes based out of Milton Georgia who had an incredibly successful first season together. Because we are moving to 14U in the fall, we are having a tryout to add a few select roster spots to our team to continue our winning tradition:
August 1st - 6pm to 8pm
August 8th - 6pm to 8pm

This team wrapped up their season showing their talents and determination at the USSSA Space Coast World Series. They played the tournament with only 9 players because of last minute losses but they didn’t let that stop them. They pushed through it and still were surprising teams all tournament. Eventually, the 95+ degree heat caught up with us. They had a great time and know what they need to do to improve for next year. We are proud of each one of them and will be pushing for the next big step over the summer.

The North Georgia Thunder have our last practice before we head to Florida. This team has had a great season to date. We look forward to watching these girls compete against teams across the country. Let’s Go NGT!

The girls decided to challenge themselves with new adventures such as fishing, enjoying the wilderness, and hiking up to Georgia’s Highest Mountain Peak. They learned as a team they can accomplish anything!

Champions, a true team and growing! Proud of them as they grew stronger and stronger as the season went on collecting rings and ended the regular season strong with gold!
